The only positive is that it happened the second day of camp and will allow them time to find a replacement, but whoever they get is likely to be a huge downgrade.

According to Ian Rapoport, the swelling was so bad they may not have a definitive diagnosis for several days...

He was paid a guaranteed $1.625M roster bonus in March, and I would guess that's subject to offsets. It's harsh, but I'm not sure he can get more than that from a team right now given his injury concerns and declining productivity in recent years.

I didn't think he was worth all that $$$$$ but good for him he did get $40 Mill upfront I hope he has some left in the bank.

I liked the Robert Hainsey, the guy behind him in the depth chart in the draft, he is talented... but rookies are unreliable. We'll see if he can step in and play.

He's a good player, always has been. His starting QB would probably prefer a vet over a young guy any day.
