His form kills me every time. Still better than Cam’s.

Growing up watching that **** is the reason why we got guys like Allen and Mahomes running around everywhere making side arm passes like they’re trying to tag Napoleon on a bike. Uncle Rico is a ****ing legend!! If only his coach had put him in during the 4th qtr, who knows how history would’ve been rewritten? That’s the greatness of Belichick. He gave Brady a chance that Uncle Rico never got.

You can’t derail your entire offseason for a comp 3rd round pick. If a player fits and can be signed reasonably, get him

That's why I don't understand why we didn't tag him. It would have been a steal considering what he got. It's probable considering the Chargers just gave him 40 mil guaranteed. They would have given us a 3rd or at worse a 4th in a tag and trade deal. They're going for it this and next year. They at least get him for this year for less than what they're paying in 2023 and would have elusive rights to sign him. I'm not often overly critical, but I think we might have missed the ball with that one.

I will be interested to see how well Cedric Wilson performs at Miami. Could be a good partner for Waddle etc

Tribisky to the Steelers is a good fit.

Mitch got a raw deal in Chitown.

He’s under contract for minimum salary. His contract tolled since he spent the entire final season of his contract on PUP.
Thanks that’s good hall was solid , I thought better than Bentley

Brown doesn’t count in the comp pick calculation, so losing him doesn’t help. The new “maximum possible term” rule primarily closed the option bonus loophole that the Patriots had previously taken advantage of, but also applies to renegotiated contracts that reduce the term. Brown had two years remaining on his Raiders contract, but agreed to make it just one when traded.

Thanks!

That puts Brown more in play for re-signing.

I understand he wants a long term deal with hefty guarantees and its not likely thats coming from BB . but every other team has the same injury/availability concerns . in the end he'll have to sign a contract somewhere and NE is atm closest to “home“.

How about a corner back or do you think it will be left until the draft

Karras to the Bengals

I think they need to sign a vet here but there are not exactly top talent players available rn in FA so i think they should definitely add one since even with JC we needed another outside CB but now we need two guys and I think one CB will be picked either round one or two in the draft

Not really surprised that we haven’t brought anyone in. Think we will be more active today and when free agency is officially open on Wednesday. I think Bill and Co will mainly be looking at in house options and what to do with certain players. Extensions mainly I see coming for a few players to lower this years cap hits. As we have extreme cap space next year, for context though multiple teams have $120m cap space for next season.

Possibly Wynn, Godchaux, Henry are guys I could see getting extensions to lower the cap.

I’m sure @Miguel has a far better way of us increasing cap space whilst not destroying ourselves long term.

I cant remember exactly the thread but there was an example posted of where Miguel thought we could save cap (but not with every player !)

We're onto day two of the legal tampering period. Most of the top free agents are still without new homes. All of the top players cut yesterday are still without new homes. You look at who is still available and it is kinda shocking that these guys weren't signed at 12:01 yesterday like most free agencies. Every day a player isn't signed, the more likely his contract value will drop.

I am kinda surprised at the quality of players signed yesterday and how much or how little some got. Mostly second tier free agents and some of the first tier free agents that signed got less than expected.

I don't think the Pats will turn on the spicket today and start a spending spree anywhere close to last year, but there is still a lot of talent left at several positions of needs that they might begin to fill in holes. They might be able to find some quality free agents who are getting a little nervous and be willing to drop their price.

The Pats can easily free up money if they want to. I doubt they will unless they find a free agent they really want.

They need like 5-6 starters at least
You can’t find that through draft alone so it’s not a question if they want to sign one, they have to sign FA or last years spending was useless

Of course they are going to sign free agents to compete for starting roles. I am just saying they are not going to create tons of cap space just to sign players to sign players. They will create cap space as needed to sign guys they want to sign.

In order to sign those guys they need to create cap space anyway or what is the current cap space after yesterday‘s resignings? I haven’t seen a post on twitter or somewhere else
