Unless you are going to run a 4-4 against our base offense... then it wont work... b/c you cant sub in that extra LB, b/c you never know its coming based on the personnel. Thats why we leave the QB out there instead of putting in another playmaker...

You can move your SS up in the box to be that 4th LB, and play the 4-4 defense like that... but you cant sub in the extra LB.

Well, considering the Patriots play a 34 base against a pro-set personel, they would already have four "linebackers" on the field. If they were going to move into a 44, they would have an outside linebacker (likely Vrabel) just put his hand down and bring a safety into the box. Unfortunately with Tank Williams on IR, Harrison on IR and Don Davis now running a ministry, there really isn't that type of safety (before the douche patrol jumps on me, I am aware Davis was a linebacker...) on the team.

:ugh: @ you having 4 LBs on the field already, lol...

In that case, you would need to sub in an extra DLman...

Ya, Harrison would have been the perfect SS for that, as he practically is a LB, lol.

I know one thing for damn sure I don't want to see again & that is our best CB(Hobbs) covering the QB(Favre) in the case of the last game.
