Or, it is all smokescreens and most of that is pure theater. Did they have interest in moving up to 4? Sure. I imagine the cost was prohibitive so them “getting beaten out” is truthfully up for debate. As far as Herro, who knows. He went one before, so if you desire the player so much, you make a move. Doubt he, Zarren, and the gang were asleep at the switch.
The trade up to #4 was done by another team, so we have a cost example.
