I know he's not a favorite here, but Doyel's article on the fourth-and-no play is hilarious.

Late in the third quarter. Colts trail 27-21. Fourth-and-3 at their 37. Punt team on the field, McAfee back to punt, and then … what? What on earth? Eight Colts on the line of scrimmage stand up and jog out wide to the right, but they don’t know where to line up. Half of them are on the line of scrimmage. Half are behind them. McAfee is 15 yards back. Receiver Griff Whalen is hunched over at center, safety Colt Anderson is lined up at quarterback, and I’ve never written a dumber sentence than this one.

What shall the worst play in American Football history be called?

Nope, that is still the buttfumble, though indy did bring their A game trying to overtake the jets. Also, I enjoyed the penalty even more then, whatever the hell that was. "Illegal formation......... the entire right side". Thought I was watching a sports movie like The Replacements or something there for a second.

I've been struggling with this. To truly capture the insanity, you have to include the fact that the entire team also lined up off the line of scrimmage. It's almost Indyscribable.

Lots of good ones, but I vote for this one. Indyscribable perfectly sums up a play that stumped pretty much everyone with its complete stupidity. Only thing to add, it'd be great if some reference to this being Indy's big Deflategate revenge/rematch thing could be worked in somewhere.

That said, I would love nothing more than to watch the Colts shock the world (and me) and knock off the Patriots, simply to make life a little more miserable for the insufferable louts who populate New England’s media and social space. Look, I’m human. For eight months, I’ve caught immeasurable crap from New England fans, most of it dumb beyond words, and have read foolish screeds, like a Boston.com piece this week that revisited whether the Colts piped in noise in an Indy game about a million years ago. If they spend the following Monday drowning their sorrows in their Sam Adams, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings in the least.

Too bad , Blobby boy...well, if it's any consolation, I'm going to go and take a nice long steaming dump on that Fathead insert I had made for my commode. Your face, taking a daily dump for the rest of your scumbag life...sorta like symmetry or something, Blob.
