I said this in the GDT but I wonder if the holder bobbling the snap caused the kicker to hesitate. He might have anticipated the ball being fumbled and didn't think he'd get a chance to kick it and purposely stopped his kick in the ground. Curious to hear what he says about it

Take this for what it is, but a random reddit comment from someone claiming to be a kicker in college, claimed that Koo's planting foot was way too close to the ball and should've been at least 6 inches away from the ball. He was guessing that Koo basically stopped it himself so he wouldn't kick the holder. Chalked it up to either the holder not holding it in the correct spot, or Koo taking a bad angle in his wind-up.

Is it a miss if the kicker never kicks the ball?

The ball was angled and bad hold.

It wasn't the best of holds, but it looks to me to be straight enough to at least ATTEMPT a kick. It's not like the alternative offered a better shot. Sounds like to me like the kicker just wanted to protect his stats.

Going through the stats now before I start on the snaps - noticed that fiasco was changed from a 13-yard sack to a negative run of 13 yards. I thought it was funnier the way it was, but the NFL apparently decided to change it.

I know a guy that knows a guy that is on a contracting crew that does HVAC work at NFL HQ. So can say with certainty that this led to an emergency all hands on deck meeting in the Commish's personal conference room. They brought people back from vacation because of the urgency. Three questions were asked: 1. How can we use this to keep this New York franchise in the news? 2. How can we reframe this as the Giants coaching staff outsmarting the Patriots' coaching staff, but just having a minor execution problem, otherwise it would have turned the whole game around? 3. How might this justify taking the Patriot's next two #1's?

They've achieved #1, are still working on #2, and know there's no need for any creativity to justify #3 so it is tabled until the week of the Patriots' first playoff game.

Was avoiding this thread, …..but day 3 of bye week has got to me
So late submissions to the party

The Koo Too* Pooh. Toe intentionally mispronounced.

The alliterared suggestion:
the Hallux Holocaust

And my favorite (rhyme):
The Hallux Ballocks

Tried to figure out something using Digiti Pedis Primus…. But that’s a mouthful already.

I was surprised that he didn't break his leg or really faceplant in an awkward fall.
