N’Keal Harry Updates.

The agent is a criminal lawyer. An amateur if you will. He is overmatched by BB

He couldn't hold Bus Cook's speedo

That is the only thing that makes sense, but even an idiot can figure out when you have no leverage it is better to play nice.

Possibly N'Keal is frustrated and pushing his lawyer to request the trade (or I will go to a different agent). That would mean N'Keal is a head case and does not know how to bounce back from adversity. Remember when Cam was talking about N'Keal and pointed to his head? Like maybe N'Keal had a concussion? Maybe Cam was saying the guy is an emotional head case which fits with the meaningless public trade demand.

Kinda sucks it didn’t work out. Too many here are happy about that. I had hope.
I don't think they are happy, I just think they are lashing out because they saw this when he was drafted but were shouted down loudly by some on where. I think Brady saw it in one practice and he knew what Harry was., not NFL quality. I wanted to see if Mac could get something out of him but looks like it may not happen.

Naahhhh…they don’t care about Harry. What they absolutely love is always being the know-it-all authorities on the forum and rolling their eyes at anyone who dares criticize a decision by the Patriots.

If I were Bill I would tell the agent to bring me an offer no lower than a 5th-rounder next year; otherwise, fuhgeddaboudit...

I think Harry is Dobson 2.0 but people on here absolutely love him so they might be devastated if he's traded.
Least Dobson was an NFL calibre athlete. He should have been great. I think our coaches are partially to blame because for some reason his catching mechanics got progressively worse.

Harry is a diva.

The NEP had the right idea to draft a physical WR who could win 50/50 balls and theoretically not need to learn all the routes but they mis-evaluated this kid's head big-time.

Requests a trade when he hasn't accomplished jack squat and is on the roster bubble....good Lord what a diva.

Requesting a trade would be fine (needs some new scenery, feels like he's running out of chances here to establish an NFL career, etc). But doing it publicly with a statement that refers to his college "dominance" is about as diva as it gets.

He needs a coach who will coddle him.
Think Arizona, Seattle, Cincinnati, LA Rams, Cleveland.

Harry has the same production as Scott Miller who was picked by Tampa in the 6th round of Harry's draft.

When you consider all the talented NFL players that the Pats couls have grabbed with the wasted Harry pick, especially at WR. The 2019 draft will go down as probably one of the best WR drafts of all time, and the Pats took the only dud at pick 32!

Let's not forget that JoeJuan was picked at 45, again passing up Greedy Williams, DK Metcalf, Irv Smith, Jr,, etc.

This draft was the final straw in breaking Brady. So much talent and the Pats come away with busts at the top two picks.

Yea that ain't happening here...

God forbid Bill expects players to act like professionals, be accountable, work hard, overcome obstacles, keep their head down, mouth shut and do their job.

I would not be surprised if this one of those times Belichick sends a player off to the gulag. It used to be Cleveland, but they're actually decent now. Maybe Cincinnati then? Burrow offers some promise there, but it's still the Bungles.

Harry + 7th for Tate.

Harry + 7th for Tate.

I don't know much about Tate personally, but in general I support the idea of trading Harry for another reclamation project (if that's how you would classify Tate). It's why the Harry for Isabella idea always worked for me. But this is assuming the trade is made prior to TC, otherwise I don't know if there would be enough time for a new WR to learn the offense well enough to earn significant time with this group. In that scenario, a straight pick (even if conditional) would probably be better.

To be fair, that's agent spin you're quoting. I don't think you're wrong, mind you, but it's not Harry speaking. It's just another in a long line of pain in the azz, outside the numbers divas that Bill can't draft/coach/develop.

What I can't figure out is why Bill is fine with diva CBs, but with diva WRs he just sucks. They are generally cut from the same cloth.

Fair point on the agent speak, you're right.

As for WR vs. CB, I think he just has more patience for the diva CB because he values that position more.

It could be as simple as that, good point.

someone on here with much more patience and time than myself went through very pick of that wr draft class and it turns out there were quite a few busts that year at WR. I know it doesn't fit the story but i think it was near 50% so we weren't the only ones by a long way.

I would swap Harry for Andy Isabella in a minute, if the Cards are interested. Isabella might be on the bubble too, but he has some intriguing elusiveness, albeit in a 5'9" package.

Absolutely key point. There is no sure fire method to measure this aspect yet it is often just accepted as "the same" when criticizing the ability to draft for the NFL. The ability to use the physical gifts - accessing them and applying them appropriately in any given situation is not simply muscle memory, but actual mental acuity that is likely nigh immeasurable in anything but a glut of NFL game situations.
