N’Keal Harry at TE?

The Patriots fault was not keeping him in the role he seemed to thrive in the cordarelle Patterson role toss sweeps oit the backfield, end arounds.... hence is why Patterson is still in the league and got a nice contract. It would have at least salvaged his career here .
N’Keal Harry end arounds?? That’s a guaranteed loss of yardage.

He's too soft to play WR and compete... he'll suck at TE also.

Dude can't even catch a cold.

I think what I'm trying to say it's getting blown out of porpoise.. he sucks flat out. Go back to the KC game where the officials screwed us.. that was really the only effective plays he made in his time here.. so please don't think I'm a N'Keal Harry believer..

I remember for the longest time people kept claiming he was 6'4 even when he was measured at 6'2 at the combine. I think he can play in more of an H-back/move tight end role but not a traditional in-line tight end. With that being said I would assume it would be a handful of plays a game because no matter where he plays he just isn't that good.

No. You can dump on the Patriots for drafting a bust, but not misusing his skills as a rb/swiss army knife. He had none.
Patterson came out of Tennessee averaging over 10 yards per carry, known as an electric sprinter and kick returner. He was very raw, but the goal was to try to find ways to get him the ball in space. He had speed and toughness- just did not run routes well.
That was never the case with Harry. His successful play with NE was a misdirection screen.

Re-read my post. I said thier fault meaning when he was here. Instead of lining him out wide and forcing throws to him.. should have done sooner what Josh did with him.. he was effective enough in that role.. look he couldn't play WR.. flat out no one is defending that.

The KC play where he was deemed out of bounds was the best play of his entire career.. actually he did have a great game week 2 2020 at Seattle... but was all a mirage. He's garbage.
Always wonder if there was any chance he would turn a corner if that play was called correctly. In all likelihood it never would have since Harry just was too worried about crap like changing his number or requesting trades and too soft on the field getting bullied on that INT against the Texans but who knows?

I seem to recall he was a solid blocking WR.... obviously the rest of his game never came around though. The TE position is much more about finding seams and soft spots and making contested catches. I have absolutely no idea if he has a grasp for that or not. We all know blocking defensive backs is much different than a 275# DE or LB.... but given that his biggest flaw was quickness/separation perhaps this could work out given that he will match-up more with safeties and LBs than at WR.

Question is can he stay healthy, and does lining him up as a TE make him a liability from a blocking perspective (and again, does he have the physical traits and toughness to execute)

I thought the same thing as well. That year Jules was banged up, Myers was a rookie and Gordon was unreliable. We had to end up trading 2nd round for saunu because Harry busted out. My initial post was that role he played I thought Josh would keep him in..

Good - and when the Vikings cut him they can pick up the “bulked up” Thornton as a replacement….

He won’t be any less dumb when on the field as a TE than he was as a WR. I guess the idea is that he may be able to separate from a LB more easily than from a DB. However, he will have LBs and DEs kicking the crap out of him all day, which will slow him down.

Fail incoming. A UFL level player at the absolute most.

I’m glad BB enjoyed talking to him more than AJ Brown or Deebo Samuel, thanks ahole. Every time I find myself feeling bad about BB being gone I just say to myself “Harry interviewed before yer than AJ or Deebo and that’s what counted to BB at that point.” I will always appreciate what BB accomplished here but, as an “Alta Kucka” myself I can say that this is why things like being a head coach in football are best done by younger people.

We should have tried this back in 2021.

Hell, I even made a semi-serious post about Cam Newton playing TE....

History of N'Keal Harry:

He was dumb enough to keep hanging up his phone on Bill rather than realizing his reception was bad in a loud room and walk outside. The way he acted on draft night should've been a major red flag rather the media thinking that he was so darling and funny for doing that.

There was no urgency to get his ass on the field during his rookie season after he sustained a boo boo where Mac Jones came back from 3-4 weeks with a worse injury.

Continually didn't know where to line up on the football field.

Couldn't outrun a LB with the angle for more than 5 yards where he was stripped at the 1 yard line to lose the game.

Got outmuscled by a CB much smaller than him and ripped the ball away for an INT.

Loved putting out video's of him running in the sand calling himself a "****ing animal!"

Felt zero pressure to perform as a 1st round pick.

He's not cut out for the NFL.
