N’Keal Harry at TE?

Not surprised. It was discussed as a possibility among some of the posters while he was here.
I thought I remembered that but wasn’t sure. This report says he’s listed at 225 lbs which seems slight for TE. Especially at 6’4”. Makes me wonder how he’ll hold up as a regular TE. Or if he’ll just be another WR?

Gaining 20 pounds is nothing to a pro, especially if his alternative is playing in the UFL. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't 230+ right now

People always focus on the size of a guy when talking about a switch to TE, but IMO it's equally (if not more) important to know how well he grasps a whole offense and how much effort he's going to put into blocking. Harry hasn't proven either of those things since being in the pros. This feels more like a Hail Mary to get one more year in the league rather than an actual positive shift for him.

That was pretty much what I thought. One thing is it seems putting more effort into blocking would be more attractive if you aren’t at a big weight disadvantage.

The Patriots fault was not keeping him in the role he seemed to thrive in the cordarelle Patterson role toss sweeps oit the backfield, end arounds.... hence is why Patterson is still in the league and got a nice contract. It would have at least salvaged his career here .
He was not anywhere fast or quick enough for that.

When a player busts with multiple team’s it usually isn’t because of the team’s.

He was effective in that role.. but I guess he asked for a trade so that was his ticket out of town.

Oh I agree. But he wasn't working lining up out wide.. so Josh had him at least in a role to salvage his career here.

Moving him to tight end never made sense because it is a much more complicated position to learn and execute. If he had problems mastering the playbook and running routes well at WR, I don't know how that move will work. In any event Harry must be a very good person and a hard worker if he keeps getting so many chances. At this point I would like him to be successful.

I think it’s far more likely that Harry’s agent would have been on the phone demanding a trade if they asked him to switch positions.
