we are to believe a guy who has 12 post!???
We have newbie idiots report stuff like this before.
They get high on seeing all the reactions.

I'm waiting until Reiss reports it. :rocker:

JR4, check the link. It's not the OP's fault. The link is a radio station in Daytona.

Too much smells fishy (Dolphinish) about this regarding the "reportage". But don't blame the OP - - it was put out on the airwaves.

Question my credibility all you want. If I pad my posting stats, does that make me more credible? Keep in mind that I didn't report this story, an independent radio station did. All I did was call and confirm. If you doubt me, then why don't you call the station yourself.

Here ya go, HERO!

Re: Just Called the Newsroom at 580AM....

If I wanted to, could I go take out a restraining order against L.T.?

You would have to make a sworn statement regarding the facts supporting your request for an order.

IMO, if there was any type of assault, there would be a police report. It's possible that the media can't run with this story cause there are no details to report.

There would only be a report if the incident were reported to the police.

Re: Just Called the Newsroom at 580AM....

If they scooped this... DUH! You bet they would.
The last national sports story that they've posted on the bottom of their Sports News Page is from the Nuggets/Hawks game which started at 7 or 8PM tonight.

You proved nothing.

Re: Just Called the Newsroom at 580AM....

Petitions for restraining (protection) orders are typically filed in a court. Unless Florida has a different procedure, would a court in Florida be open on Sunday, January 6th.
All states have procedures where judges are on call 24/7 for emergency protective orders.

The only reason I could think that this story hasn't been picked up is because it broke after the court would have closed for the day. Others might wait to get a copy of the documents tomorrow to report on it.

I just CALLED the ProJo sports dept in Prov...I talked to a reporter who sent me to the editor...NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING...I read the clip posted here...the EDITOR of the Providence Journal told me there was NO such report today or any other day and actually made me wait while he personally checked the wire for the latest up to the minute news. It doesn't EXIST as a news item anywhere.

either a hoax or a misattribution by this southern cracker AM idiot station

If this is true, the media sh!tstorm that will ensue aside, if the hearing is on January 28, that's the Monday before the Superbowl. A flight to Arizona from Florida on the Monday or Tuesday practices before the Superbowl is not a very good thing. He may actually be the one player who needs practice the least though.

You will keep making the FU Roadshow things, right?

Is there something we should know about you?

If this truly happened and a serious injury occurred...I just cannot see how there would be no police report. Wouldn't the victim have to go to the hospital at some point and wouldn't they have to report it?

Smells like a ploy to get money or hurt the Pats....wonder if a Charger fan is behind it?

Why call the ProJo? Why not call the station that has the affidavit in-hand?

I do not believe this is true. But, if it is, and he refused her medical attention, I'm pretty sure he didn't let her call the cops either.....

Because if it's legit, it's likely been put on the wires and another news source would be aware of it.

That settles it for me. If it was a real story, it would have made the wire services.

Mods, please lock this thread.

Are we sure that this is the Randy Moss, and not some random Randy Moss?

Maybe we're making a bigger deal of it than it really is?

WOULD SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE CALL THE RADIO STATION? THE GUY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS I HAD.

Honestly, take away the name Randy Moss. I swear I heard a story about an athlete who was accused of hitting his girlfriend and wouldn't let her call 911. I'm pretty sure it was in the last year too. Anyone remember this story?
