In this village, when my father was a child, student who brought lobster to school were the poor kids. They would hide it from their classmates, as they were ashamed. Imagine school kids proudly displaying their bologna sandwiches, while others hastily ate their lobster in secret !

How things have changed ! Now everyone is rolling in dough and millionnaires are everywhere. It’s not just the captains. Even the deckhands are getting fabulously compensated. I guess even the high schoolers that help out at the start of the season are driving extended cab trucks. And we have ‘migrants’ from other provinces that move in for a month just to cash in.

They can have it. The Atlantic Ocean in December ? No thanks.
