Embellishment to gain unmerited yards is inherently unsportsmanlike, if taunting is worth 15 yards...
Yea thats true.

I've been working through an idea for this too which I haven't fully thought out. But basically my idea is that if you want protection instead of of a slide or even for running out of bounds you should have to call for a fair catch or something like that.

It already works on punts and as we just witnessed with Maye earlier in the season sometimes the slide is more dangerous.
Interesting.

So an example would be say Mahomes is running/standing still and once he raises his hand the ball is blown dead?

And loss of down since RTP is an automatic 1st
I think all post snap offensive penalties the down should count I never understood the logic on giving them the play back.

Im sorry Ahmed... i didnt mean to offend any other deranged autists on this board.

I didn't realize how much you love Patrick Mahomes... and would defend his floppery...

You should lay off the tap water... before you know it, you will be listening to taylor swift and wearing a queefs jersey...

Again you prove your stupidity. My niece is on the spectrum and the insult is what I took issue with.

Amazing that you can be so stupid that I needed to spell it out for you after I put it in quotes.

The only way to fix this is to take Mahomes out. I mean, if you're going to get penalized for a light hit, might as well make it hurt. And it would be the NFL's own doing.

I came to post the same thing. At some point a player is going to think, if I'm going to get a 15 yard penalty, I'm going to get my 15 yards worth....pound of flesh.

Not to sound like the get off my lawn old man but if he did this **** in the back in the day, he would’ve been lit up and tbh, he needs to be now. It’s the only thing that will stop him. Not advocating for trying to injure Kermit, but he needs to take a very hard hit/personal foul. Make it so hard it’s immediate ejection + fine.

He needs multiple hard hits. Enough to end his season imo. He is not innocent in all of this. He knows exactly what he is doing and the Chiefs as a whole know the officiating help they have been getting for years now.

If it happens, my money is on Matt Milano.. Look what he did to the JETES QB..

There's also the rule I believe went into effect this offseason where players are no longer allowed to publicly voice displeasure over being tested after a game. We've seen that many times here in New England after someone goes out and had a big game, and they end up with a note on their locker.

Sounds like that might not be something we'll hear about moving forward, albeit they could still choose to leak it to someone in the media and let them fight the battle for them. Either way, the NFL is certainly clamping down on their ability to speak out going forward, which feels like it's a little much.

Things are getting a little police state in the NFL don'tcha think? Can't say this....can't be ASSOCIATED with someone that thinks badly of us...jesus....You'd think the players union would say something....then again, it's the NYFL...

Maybe WE should watch out ourselves! Anything we have been saying could be considered subversive and against the "state" aka the nyfl. The NYFL gestapo is this years boogeyman!

I apologize.
And hear the word ****** all the time while raising a kid with downs syndrome... its not a personal attack.

It's not worth carrying a grudge against the ignorant.
