I think the Steelers will be competitive.
This moves helps their defense greatly.
They have a great offense of line. They can still run the ball. Maybe they can get Mason Rudolph into a quick passing game… They will play some close games but the season is not lost.
I think we know a thing or two about what can happen when you lose you’re starting QB early in the year. We had some pretty good seasons in both of those instances because other parts of the team rose to the occasion.
This is a different place, we have Belichick that’s why it worked in 08. It’s still a QB driven league. I can’t see Mason Rudolph making them even an average team.
You are probably right. The AFC North is a brutal division. The Steelers are already 0-2 and they haven’t even played a division game yet.
I guess its a good move for Pitt. Fitz is a blue chip talent and if they have any aspirations to compete with KC, CLE, NE or other teams with pass-first offenses with good Qb play they need cover guys. They needed that before Ben went down regardless.
Time will tell if Ben can come back and if Rudolph is the future.
They like Rudolph hes as good as any QB not named Tua.I don't know if it's a good move- Steelers are projected to pick as high as 8th in the first round, so they are potentially giving up picking a future QB over a current CB that's only going to help with one half of a field.
What do you think is the market for a (then) 33yr old FS ?
They're 100% tanking.Yeah they're set up to own the top of the draft.
Trades like this one is why I disagree with anyone writing articles about how the Dolphins are tanking and rules need to be put in place to prevent it. Well, who gets to decide which transactions are acceptable and which are "tanking?" Who wouldn't take three 1sts (one of which might be top 5) and a 2nd for Tunsil, Fitzpatrick and Stills?
They're 100% tanking.
The team was lacking talent big time & just traded away 2 very promising players. Players that to an extent have already proven themselves in the league. Obviously small sample size but both have been vg from day 1.
Draft picks are great. Im a draftnik & love them but proven players > prospects all day long.
Now all you're doing is trying to replace the players you lost w prospects hoping they'll be as good.
For a team like Miami thats scary.
When do you put a winner on the field? Fans have been waiting how many decades?
Miami is in the worst shape in the league & that's saying something. Not even close to a decent team.

5-11, he is out. he might keep his job at 7-9. how any position help you win ?How does a CB help when your qb is out for the season

Yeesh. Have to figure the Steelers will have a top 10 draft pick in 2020.
They're 100% tanking.

How in the world is this even possible, or allowed? Isn't there, like, a salary cap Floor too?2. Miami has over $100,000,000 in cap space for next season...
