McCoy Likely to Start

Doesn't mean he will start! Most of us expected to see Chung on sunday!

Bring some pressure--block his vision, deflect his passes, and sack him. This will shorten the field and put pressure on the running game which, i assume will dominate.

This has A.J. Feeley written all over it.

Browns likely to start McCoy versus Pats

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy is frontrunner to start vs. Patriots | cleveland.com

Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy will take all of the first-team reps today and appears to be the frontrunner to start Sunday against the Patriots.

Quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace will sit out practice again today with their high ankle sprains, despite the fact Wallace felt he'd be ready to see action today.

Mangini said Wallace is still ahead of Delhomme in his rehab, but gave no indication that he'll be ready to go by Sunday. He said if "things stay the way they are'' his intention is start McCoy.

What does this have to do with Moss?

He'll start out 8-8 like every QB does againt us then we'll buckle down late force some TO's and win by 10-14.

Thus earning him the starting spot going forward. We make every QB look like a probowler in the 1st half I swear.

Yeah but Feeley was in his third year and 17th game when he beat the Pats 29-28 in that Monday night game if that's what you're referring to. Belichick is 5-2 versus rookie QBs, losing to Roethlisberger in 2004, and Sanchez last year.

Good points all around. My point was that we generally seem to struggle a bit against quarterbacks for whom we don't have a ton of film on.

What does this have to do with Moss?

If the Browns are the team that gets him off of waiver...McCoy will be throwing him the ball. And Moss would go down in history to be the first player to play against the team who he started the season with in consecutive weeks...

If McCoy starts this sunday and for the next 3 games do you realize that McCoy will be going against 3 QBs with a total of 6 SB rings (Brady,Brees,Ben)

I'd feel this way if it was Seneca Wallace, but Colt is a different animal. If they get their ground game going and he can dump off accurate short & intermediate stuff, that is their only chance. But I don't think he has the chops to slice and dice the secondary a la Boller/Feeley, especially if we can mount a 10 point lead.

What does this have to do with Moss?

It's Moss' influence over Mankins' decisions, coupled with all the issues around Brady's hair.
