Mayweather vs Pacquiao

It's on, finally! May 2nd, 2015. Easily the biggest boxing fight in the last 15 years. I'm no avid boxing fan but I will tune in, and I've heard it is projected to break every ppv record out there.

Everywhere I look I've seen Mayweather as a very clear and decisive favorite, like -225 etc.

I'll probably take a shot on Manny with a reasonable 50-100 dollar wager, just b/c it pays nicely, but it doesn't appear that many have faith in him in this scenario.

5 years too late. I lost a lot of my interest in boxing when they couldn't get a deal hammered out while still in their primes. It's just a Mayweather money grab now. People will buy to see him lose, but he won't. Pacman is gone, he's a shell of what he once was. Any money spent ordering the PPV for this fight is only prolonging an eventual Mayweather bankruptcy.

Yep, 2010 was the year this needed to happen. Mayweather's reach and defensive skills will ensure he wins this however, at the height of their powers, it would have been a 50-50 clash.

Mayweather will do his hide and seek routine and be the most boring fighter pound for pound he is. I was hoping for a Tyson like figure to emerge to beat his Michael Sphinx style to a pulp but it never happened. Meanwhile, Manny will try to turn it into a fight and will get frustrated. I'll watch and route for Pacquio, but yeah, 5-10 years too late.

Mayweather has this one for sure. Its an after thought of a fight now.

it really was 5 year too late. pacman's been unimpressive for like 5 years. that insane speed and volume punches have been gone down by good 50%. if this fight happened 5 years ago money would've looked pretty much the same, but at least pacman would've been much busier and take more risk.

Pac tried to mount something a few time but Mayweather would either tie him up or slip away. It looked like they both were just happy to be getting an enormous amount of money regardless of the outcome so they went through the motions.

best part of the fight is when The Burger King was part of Mayweather's entourage. Hilarious

I don't think they were going through the motions at all.

Mayweather is just a phenomenal boxer. It's not much fun to watch if you're not a fan of the sport, but that's not the same as a lack of effort.
