They still have to go through the process and follow the rules, so I expect 5 or 6 candidates and they'll be announced. They're not doing this "under the radar." It'll be transparent for a change, which is a good thing.I will bet the new OC is someone that 99% of fans on this site have never heard of or it will be the current TE's coach.
They also need a QB coach....no mention made of replacing the current "QB coach"
I may be wrong, but I believe those 3rd round picks are for coordinators moving to HC or FO staff to GM. I don't think it incl. staff w/ no titles getting HC, which would suck even more for the team that Bill doesn't give titles.
Agree, doesn't say anything about coordinators, just coaches. Good.I could be wrong too but the way I interpret this is that the Patriots will receive a Third this year and a Third next year if Mayo becomes a head coach even though he didn't have an official title.
"Teams that lose a minority coach or executive to a head coach or general manager job with another team will receive a third-round compensatory pick for two consecutive years, per Pelissero. If a team loses a minority coach and an executive to HC and GM roles, that club will receive a third-round compensatory pick for three consecutive years."
NFL owners pass resolution rewarding teams for developing minority coaches, execs
I have had tickets for 30 years and normally receive the letter and payment information a couple of months after the season ends. When I seen the letter in my email a few days ago. I thought to myself Kraft must be sensing turnover with STH.The season ticket holders have their pitch forks and torches ready - Kraft is just keeping them happy
What a unique idea.No thanks; we need a QBs coach who's actually, you know, coached QBs before.
And that's a great question. If he's not calling plays, how do you blame him for bad defensive play calls?
Little bit.Is it just me or did cousin Eddie's wife look kinda sexy/cute in that movie, compared to the first Vacation...?
Carolinahuh? Kraft's are a train wreck of an ownership because they might have the guy they want to replace Belichick as HC on staff and want to keep him?
