They have to interview two external minority candidates before they’re allowed to hire anybody.Hope Mayo stays. Him and BB Jr are a good combo.
Am I reading too much behind the all interview new OC next week but is that meaning that it will not be BOB? Am I the only to think that they would just offer the job to BOB ?
Are they conducting interviews just in case BOB doesn’t come here or do they know that he will not come here? Reminder that we hoped that BOB would be the OC in 2022 but he was supposed to be the Bucs OC if Leftwich was hired by the Jags.
As long as Steve works for Dad, his legitimacy as a coach will be a question. He needs to cut the cord and go prove himself with another team. Absent that, his longer term future is questionable given Bill's age and inevitable exit in the relatively near term.

Do you think Kraft would stand for that?Or guarantees Steve a job as part of a quid pro quo.
If he’s not calling plays how do you know what kind of coach he is?If he's not calling plays, how do you blame him for bad defensive play calls?
Probably not, but it also depends on how much pressure the owners are under given the Flores situation. There are 2 black NFL coaches, Mike McDaniel and Todd Bowles. Internally the league is having huge discussions about a 70% black player league with only 2 head coaches. I'm saying if Mayo becomes HC he takes Steve along out of familiarity and loyalty.Do you think Kraft would stand for that?
She sure was.Little bit.
Merry at dept store was pretty attractive
Said they spent to the cap each of those years.
But doesn't it all net out in the long term? And other than maybe Mark Davis, do NFL owners really have a problem with short term cash flow imbalances?Right. All teams spend to the cap. They have to. It's the cash flow that matters to the Owner. That's why teams like NO and Rams are in trouble, they kept borrowing from the future to stay under the cap.
I feel like there has to be some discussion about that, and potentially mayo being here long term a maybe succeeding BB.. sort of like how the Steelers did it with Tomlin. However this is good news without a doubt, and that the team is publicly announcing it's to seek a OC and actually name the person the title!Would he stay here as DC vs taking a HC job?
Mayo is the perfect guy!!I'm inclined to say he may be the future HC, once BB hangs them up. Wouldn't surprise me if this is a way of showing it?
Mayo isn’t getting the DC title. They can’t give that to him without doing more interviews, and there’s no mention of those interviews taking place (like there is for OC).
Following the 2022 Spring League Meeting, NFL teams are now required to conduct outside interviews with a minority and/or female candidate for vacant QB coach positions
Curran made mention about associate or assistant coach is possibly what he could end up as well as far as a title.Agree 100%
Feels like a Red Sox PR move.
You're reading what you want into this straightforward press release. You want the reigns taken from BB so you're imagining that's what's happening behind the scenes.Just because there is no mention doesn't mean it's not happening. The OC thing comes off as it will be a joint effort to find an OC and not just Bill's decision. Defense side on the other hand the Krafts will probably leave that to Bill.
