Say what you meant then, I’m not a mind reader.
No but you're not stupid and you know when I say both I mean both sides of the "Whose fault is the failure of Mac Jones" question. Cmon dude.

Yeah not my style to guess at what you mean.
To answer what you are now saying, he’s shown that he is incapable, so it doesn’t much matter what the “other side” is, hence it’s ridiculous to make excuses.

Thank you for answering what anyone capable of keeping up with a conversation could tell I asking. But yeah if coaching and consistency has no impact on a player's development I guess there's really no need for them lol

Thank you for making it my fault that you don’t communicate clearly.

I didn’t say coaching had nothing to do with it. I said he sucks and blaming coaching is a lame excuse. An incapable player is incapable.

Truth is not an excuse. Bad coaching did have a lot to do with his flameout here. That’s not up for debate.

I think they're both true. I think Patricia and Judge sucked as offensive coaches and he sucks too. Do you disagree?

I think it doesn’t matter who his coaches were. I think Patricia and judge had one hand tied behind their back being stuck with him as Qb
jones is a more viable excuse for the results Patricia and judge got that they are because for him.

If the problem was Patricia and Judge as his coaches then why did

(1) He suck the last 6 games of 2021 with McDaniels as coach
(2) Play WORSE in 2023 with Obrien as his coach

Stands to reason you would have to conclude that the problem was Jones

Of course it’s up for debate. He sucks. He sucks with good coaching and he sucks with bad coaching.
Last year BOB designed a play that got Gesicki wide open. They worked on the play all week. When they called it, it worked, Jones didn’t throw to Gesicki. That’s Mac jones.

When have the Patriots had good coaching the last couple of years?

And O’Brien did a terrible job last season so it’s not him.

I have changed my mind. I will agree that they should start Maye immediately. Given how well the OL performed against Washington’s 2nd and 3rd string defense he should be fine. If nothing else he will be the best conditioned QB in the league, as he will be the only one running over 20 miles a game. And if some 320 DL destroys his shoulder by landing on it 20-30 times a game there is nothing to worry about, as every team will be releasing QB’s Tuesday. Who knows, they might even be able to get Mac Brady back,

You can keep repeating yourself as many times as you like.Your argument does not sway my opinion in the least
Correlation is when 2 things happen together. Causation is when one thing happens BECAUSE OF THE OTHER.

Tom Brady is the GOAT and he didn’t play as a rookie (correlation). Tom Brady isn’t the GOAT BECAUSE he didn’t play as a rookie (causation) If Brady played as a rookie he still would have been the GOAT, in fact his career arc would have been sped up.
What you seem to not understand is that everything you can do while sitting can also be fine while playing, and you get the added development of playing.

What there is both correlation and causation to is that a QB improved through their first year whether they play or not. That’s what your quote represents. They don’t however represent that not playing is the reason.

The correlation is that most QBs sit all or part of their rookie year, so must good ones, and must bad ones sat all or part of their rookie year.
Causation requires a reason that one led to the other and there is no evidence, reason or logic that practicing and not playing develops a football player better than practicing and playing.

Tom Brady does not disagree with me and I’m sure he would say any okaying he did in his rookie year would have benefited him.

Look, you don’t have to read my posts. You don’t have to respond to my posts. You certainly don’t have to criticize me responding back to posters who comment on my posts.

I’m not sure why you would find me believing that you get better at football by playing football condescending, nor how you think misunderstanding correlation and causation allows you to take some moral high ground, but honestly you sound like a little whiny *****. We disagree, I’m not sure why that has to become some kind of windmill for you to tilt at.
You’ve given your opinion, I disagree. I have moved zero off of my belief after each time you gave it.
I do not care in the least whether you agree with me or not.

How about we have more posts about football and less posts about posters. I am sorry if you feel intimidated by me. The ignore feature maybe your best route.

How the **** do you know that Brady would have become the GOAT if he had played his rookie season? You don’t, you are just making **** up. Brady could have gone out there, been sacked repeatedly, made poor decisions to try and keep drives alive, and been either injured seriously, or cut. Having the opportunity to learn the system by sitting clearly gave him a better shot at sticking around than just throwing him out there would have, and even he acknowledges that.

And the ignore feature is definitely the best option when it comes to having a discussion with you, I only saw this because I hit the “ show ignored content” button, and I have no idea how anyone who has a job or a life would ever have the time to beat their head against the wall discussing anything with you. It’s a complete waste of time. Back to ignore you go.

I went from thinking Maye should sit because it would help him develop to Maye should sit because it's insane to put your hopes of a franchise QB behind this line

I know because he’s Tom Brady. I know because I played a lot of competitive sports and the best and most competitive players don’t get “broken” by adversity. I know because everything he learned by sitting around he would have learned sooner by playing.
By all means put me on ignore, it will improve my experience here

It would be like taking your new Ferrari off-roading.

That's your problem. Nobody is saying they're the only problem and take 100% of the responsibility for his failures

Ugh. Maye outplayed him but brissett had a good OTA, so he starts?
Mayos first time in the spotlight isn’t going so well for him, he looks overwhelmed by decision making.
