Marcus Jones was fantastic; he could be the big key on D

I have a feeling that Polk will be a starter over Douglas and Osborne, so Bourne-Thornton-Polk.
POP??.. he's our slot guy.. his speed, and quick twitch abilities are elite. I'm thinking he remains.. KB, pop, Thornton.. or AVP may want to go with 4 WRs.. KB, pop, Thornton, polk..

Bourne does fine in the slot.

IMO, Pop will be our #4 WR when Bourne comes back, which is fine. He will always be active and will likely get his share of reps if he plays well enough. BTW, this means that Osborne, Boutte, and Baker will get very few reps, even if they are all still on the roster.

Of course, Polk might play like a rookie and stay at #4.

LOL.. Agreed there. KB is important his great hands, the energy he brings to the game he's a nice route runner too. He's a starter. So I'm thinking KB, pop, Thornton? I don't think KB is gonna get forced right in he may just get slowly worked back in the offense.
KB, Pop, and Thornton sounds right to me. And I wouldn't even go slow he seemed like he was close during camp so think he might be able to hit the ground running.

It will be interesting to see what happens to KJ and the rooks at that point. And also right now they are starting Ty but if things don't progress as we hope he could go to a smaller role kinda like we used Bethel Johnson a 4th we used sparingly for deep routes.

The tease bethel Johnson was... I remember. Well I think it's important for polk to get in there for a majority of the snaps going forward. He brings some toughness to the WR corps. Yeah.. if the deep passing game with tyqan just isn't developing then your right. We could just use him in packages. Right now tyqan is being rewarded for his great camp he had.

Yeah he does but that is pops role. I like Bourne because he can line up at every position. We have a very deep WR corps. Just someone needs to become a consistent play maker out the number. That guy it Tyquan IMO.

I have seen Thornton in prior years not contest long balls. He has also been wide wide open several times with either bad throws or no throws.
I do not think Thornton is a contest or "jump ball" guy, if that is what you mean. There are guys, like Garrett Wilson, who are bigger faster guys that will muscle for the ball. Thornton is more of a speed guy in the mold of Waddle who are Go and Slant and Hook guys. It is more about speed and quickness because they are not big boned and strong. Guys like Wilson will bail out QBs when it is a bad throw, but guys like Waddle and Thornton require a better pass.

agree. tyquan looks much improved and his route running is very fluid. i would want them to have at least 6-8 throws on average/ game targeting ty.

hopefully next game we see lot more passing to ty and polk.

Will depend on the OLine improving…
I don't think it's magically going to be good. But it should improve a little if/when we can get Sow and Strange back. And once we can settle everyone into their best spots.

Other than that maybe the rookies improve throughout the course of the year.

But realistically it's going to take an off-season investment of cash, a draft pick, or both.

Yeah, why I was annoyed this off-season when they did nothing to improve the tackle position. Pray for the kids to miraculously improve.
