What did he do to draw that flag?

I'm not here to harp on poor calls since this happens every week. I was very disappointed in Talib losing his cool to a guy he knows talks a lot. He actually could have been flagged again when he grabbed his facemask. That is just selfish football right there and I don't buy getting caught up in the heat of battle. He's a pro and knows what its going to be like.

Ridley's fumble......gosh, as hard as the guy runs, he just coughs it up too many times.

On a positive note, I was very pleased with how the offense moved the ball throughout the game. Vereen had a huge part in that. I actually thought the Pats really matched if not were the more physical team and kept the Panthers designed running game in check. The 3rd down defense really reveals the toll of injuries mainly with the inside rush. Not sure that Carter is an upgrade over Buchannan.

Very entertaining game last night and I was very proud how they came out in the 2nd half and really looked like the better team. This is a mentally tough team that really showed up again after overcoming their poor first half mistakes.

A DL went to the face on him during a play and the idiot retaliated.

Wendell did just about the same thing (along with a head butt) on one of the final drives and didn't get called on it.

Seriously, those two and Talib should be spoken to. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I'm glad I am not the only one that was underwhelmed by Andre Carter. Besides Talib, I honestly thought our coverage was not bad for the most part and they just dinked and dunked us to death. I have seen Cam in the past throw into coverage often for no reason but he stayed patient the entire night.

The way we rushed Cam on third down was just pure failure. It would have been better if we hadn't rushed him at all and just played coverage with someone spying him.

The OL and DL were what killed us last night, not the refs.
Our O line is not playing well as a unit and the stupid penalties they are taking are indicative of undisciplined football where they are late on blocks, missing assignments altogether and getting frustrated by it.
Newton had all day behind his line and aside form the couple of times he was sacked (what looked like coverage sacks to me) the Pats D line got nowhere near him.

We lost in the trenches last night.

You can usually count on Mankins to give you a nice 15 yard penalty in chippy game like this. Dude isn't the brightest bulb in the box.

Speaking of the OL Ryan Wendell this guy should not be Starting in the NFL. I think he's the wrost Lineman we have had in a while. Brady can't even step up into the pocket anymore because of Wendell.

Does anyone have a screen shot or a video of the Mankins penalty? I don't believe they ever showed a replay of it last night. When he was interviewed after the game on CSN he denied it and said he didn't do anything to warrant the call. He's usually more forthright about admitting fault when its his.

Mankins is good for a couple 15-yarders a season. I just see it as the price you pay for a superior OG with a nasty disposition. A team needs guys like that. I'll never forget (I think it was his rookie season) when a defensive lineman intentionally stepped on Mankins' hand and Logan punched him in the balls. :D The guy doubled over in pain on the field and Logan got flagged, but the replay showed why he did it.

Love the nastiness from the OL and secondary. They better bring it again on Sunday night. Win or lose that Donks team needs to limp off the field.

when your playing a physical team like the panthers hot heads like Mankins and Talib are going to do that, lets just hope it dose not happen again in the playoffs vs the jets or KC

Mankins sure likes to talk. He should work on his play, not his mouth.

Mankins is not a yapper or a showboater. He's a straight-shooter who talks only when asked. He's a damn good player, too -- tough as nails.

I think our interior guys have been the biggest sign of weakness for the offensive line as a whole this year, and that even includes Mankins at times--although not nearly as often as Wendell or Connelly obviously.

I like Mankins and he can be really good, but sometimes it seems like he's fallen off a bit. I suppose maybe his injury had something to do with that. I'm not sure that he's worth his pricetag anymore.

Either way, I don't see how we don't double up on interior linemen in the draft next spring. I think it's a no-brainer. As far as Wendell and Connelly, we'll find out soon enough what Belichick thinks about them staying on the team. I'm guessing it's one or the other, and the only way Connelly stays is if he restructures or is extended for a lesser cap hit.

He's definitely tough as nails, and he is still a very good player.

Personally, I wonder if he's worth his current pricetag, and also if he's still the same player that he once was. I certainly would not ask him those questions to his face, however.
