It is fair to wonder if his personality got muted due to Bill and the Patriot way of keeping everything so ho hum, "on to the next game."

Eh, we’ve seen other guys with more personality through the years.

He does seems better in the bits for his 1,000 endorsement deals though.

I think that early on, he was one of us, a regular guy. At some point, thru his marriage to Giselle or his relationship with Guerrero, he stopped being a regular guy and became who he is now. Avocado eating, pliable man of the world. Perhaps it's the loss to the Giants that aspired him to make these changes? Who knows. But he alludes to the loss possibly driving him.

I thought he was an oddball from day 1.

Yeah. He does seem better now that he has left the Pats. But he really just isn't that guy (personality-wise) that you would ever imagine to be the greatest football player. He is really a paradox in that way.

7x SB champs. Should have been 7x Super Bowl champ, singular as he is the only one with 7. No org has that many.

Correct, the Bucs do not have 7 super bowls. I don't know if it's a big deal as far as its value is concerned though (I'm not a memorabilia expert). I'd take it if it were a Patriots jersey, error and all.

This series is really well done. I wish each episode was longer so there could be more detail about each game and seasons leading up to each SB appearance. I'm a chronic about this stuff. Last night's episode was 2007 and there was barely any mention of how down the stretch they were in dogfights with Philadelphia and Baltimore. More detail about those games would've been great and it could have given an insight or potential reasons/factors into the Super Bowl loss. I know it's about the Super Bowl year's, but the 2006 season deserved more than a passing mention as they beat the #1 seed on the road in the divisional round.
The 2011 episode really should deal a decent amount with the 2010 home loss and 2014 and 2016 should deal with the losses at Denver the prior year. How/why the game was lost according to Brady and whoever else is on that episode.

I have enjoyed the very plain spoken, foul mouthed manner that he's been on MitA. Not filtered by the NFL shield on America's Game or some other NFL films production. You really get the impression that this is the real him, this is how he speaks in the locker room. Eff bombs sprinkled in here and there.

It was painful to relive that game but I watched it. I enjoyed having Strahan as a guest because his perspective on that Giants team was new to me. I knew they were a good road team but the insight that the team came together late in the year was interesting. A good reminder you need to trust your eyes and not just the stat sheet (I knew this year’s team was better than our record the first six weeks).

Tom doesn’t throw anyone under the bus publicly, but I really I wish we had a better RB in 2007. The Giants wouldn’t have been able to be so aggressive up front if we could make them pay for it.

That Super Bowl cemented in me that you can’t win the big dance without some adversity.

It flew under the radar but the Sammy Morris injury hurt the Pats that year. I believe they would have won the Super Bowl if he was available with Maroney.

I liked Tom vs Time for the same reason. I do think he puts on a lot of fronts because he does not want to be controversial at all.

That injury is not talked about enough on here.

Colvin’s injury as well. While A Thomas was a force rushing the passer on the outside, he was brought in to erase the middle of the field as they couldn’t defend any TE’s (and why they lost to INDY a year earlier). That came back to haunt them with Kevin Boss’s long reception in the 2nd half leading to a go ahead TD in SB42.

Throw in Stephen Neal as well during that game.

While A Thomas was a force rushing the passer on the outside, he was brought in to erase the middle of the field as they couldn’t defend any TE’s (and why they lost to INDY a year earlier). That came back to haunt them with Kevin Boss’s long reception in the 2nd half leading to a go ahead TD in SB42.

Throw in Stephen Neal as well during that game.

I wasn't much a Xs and Os back then was only 16 at the time, but watching the episode Brady made it clear it was pretty much the Giants pass rush continously winning and hitting him until the drive before the helmet catch.

Agreed, but in my opinion the Pats defense did their job in that SB. If not for the ridiculous helmet catch they win 14-10 most likely. The Pats only ran for 45 yards at a clip of less than 3ypc. This is the main reason they lost in my opinion.

I really don't understand what the problem some of you have with Tom Brady.

Look, he was the GOAT when he played for you and y'all won a lot, embrace the fact that you had him and he played his heart out for you fans year after year. He made a business decision to move on. It doesn't mean you have to love it or even hate it, it's just business. He is doing really good in TB, good for him. There are some of you here that are pulling for Cam Newton to do good and he didn't do anything for the Patriots! Brady did everything for the Patriots.

And another thing, pulling for Mac to do good doesn't mean you don't appreciate what Brady did or mean that you have turned your back on Brady. Move on with Mac, look back on those glorious years with Brady and be happy. It doesn't have to be one or the other!

Picked up on the Brady or Belichick vibes and that further escalated the animosity that had divided Patriot Nation into two camps, mostly.

There were some lone voices in the night such as Scott Pioli stating it was both, but those voices went unheard or were outright ignored.

The Bradyites were unmerciful last season as Brady led the Bucs to the Lombardi, lambasting the Belichick & the Patriots for every transgression, real or perceived. Belichick was crucified for limping to a 7-9 record with Can't Throw Cam. And every second of the offseason, someone from the Brady camp was there to remind you Brady won his 7th... and we only won seven games. (To me, It felt like Ted Sandyman had come to life in every Pro-Brady fan alive.) Every thread here practically devolved into a Brady vs Belichick argument. It was unending, it was relentless and it was vitriolic.

Now that The Patriots have had a measure of success this year, the Bradyites have toned down their act, to a degree. The worst of them are still doing it though. They incessantly complain about having to use the Brady forum. They continually make posts that frame posts and topics that typically show Belichick in a negative light, treat Brady like a God. So while it has gotten better, it hasn't stopped.

Want to know who? Go read the Brady forum. Hell, reading this thread should give you a good indication.

Love Brady, glad he was here. he was an integral part of a 20 year dynasty in New England. But he left.

Bradys gone. He's playing for another team.

So maybe you might understand now - Patriot fans don't have a problem with Brady. We just choose not to root for him while he's playing for another team.

Who knows? The one thing I think we can agree on is Brady was under a ridiculous amount of pressure that whole game, and Maroney was not the answer. Any team that gets to pin its ears back is going to be a problem all day. As much as it hurts to say it, that Giants defense was way too talented to come in playing a one dimensional game against.
