Oh yeah, the media loves to attack big tobacco so they spin the story the way they want but BIG PHARMA is rarely attacked even though they kill way more people. That is all. Enjoy the game.

Yeh dont trust the CDC...they started the walking dead...its their fault I bet. Haven’t been to the south since that happened, seems dangerous so I stick to the west.. How is Alexandria these days? Anyway Im certian we will create our own apocalypse due to some experimental drug or virus created in a lab...

BTW when we lost Atlanta to the walkers where did the CDC relocate to..I need to stay far away.

Hope Butler is feeling better sunday....walkers almost got him.

CDC Director resigns being knee deep invested in vaccines. Yeah, trust these people to tell you it's safe.

Scandalous CDC director RESIGNS after caught buying shares of vaccine maker Merck while heading the CDC

If you are going to make an argument about something this provocative, spend some time and energy on your logic.

You took the position that Patriots players shouldn't be given an anti-viral because of a single study done on a small group regarding vaccines. So let's look at that:
  1. It is very early research. Science at this stage of research development is always about scoping the next experiments, not about drawing conclusions. There's a very good chance that the next experiment will provide different results.
  2. It was a very small study.
  3. It was about a type of drug (vaccine) that has no bearing on the type of drug you are wishing would be denied to Patriots players: anti-viral medications.
Your argument (or, rant more appropriately) is totally defeated by any of those three points. Put all three together and your argument becomes the raving of a crazy person on a street corner.

I don't trust big pharma, either, as institutions. I've done a good deal of work inside them. I also know that many people who work in big pharma are concerned about the things you are concerned about. Demonizing everything and everyone gets us nowhere, and makes you appear powerless.

What is the point carrying this on. This forum is for brief comments and sports. I posted an opinion after getting trolled into it and did the courtesy of a link or two of another reasonable point of view but who wants to post or read a library of footnotes to document a lifetime of observation and experience that forms our opinions. You have your opinion and I have mine. Lets make the last word on this ARE WE READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?

Butler was crying during America the beautiful. It is likely there was tragedy in his life and he's having a tough time coping. Hope he gets it together by the 2nd half, cuz they sure as heck need him. If this is a benching... wtf.....

edit
Confirmed it was a benching and no tragedy

This has been BB's worst game in awhile. He's got 30 minutes to get this team in shape.

I bet he was 30 seconds late to a meeting because of the flu.
Is this sarcasm? Assuming pettiness by BB? What team are you really a fan of?

I'm sure we'll find out what the deal was over the next couple of days.

Not good mojo

He was or might have been late getting to Minnesota after staying back in Boston.

There HAS to be a good explanation. You don't sacrifice the entire season if he was late for the walkthrough or whatever. You play the game and then make sure he never plays for the Pats again or something like that.

Dude, it’s not like this type of thing hasn’t happened before with B.B. What team have YOU been a fan of?
