Is anyone actually going to watch this?

Not planning on it...but if I find myself on the couch channel surfing....I'll probably tune in just to see if the competitions are any better than the game itself...

So, it is unfair that Jones wasn't named to the pro-bowl? I guess that is one reality.

Another is that we aren't even sure whether Mac is good enough to be a starter for us. I'm waiting for the sign Garappolo posts.

I guess I should be clear. I don't think that Mac should have been named to the pro-bowl.

Pro Joke Is more like it... we know MAC10 didn't have a great season behind defacto play caller BB/Patricia/judge.

However I'd be more impressed if Bill O'Brien gets him to an ALL PRO level.. next season..

Speaking for myself, I saw a rookie come into this organization 2 seasons ago That wasn't even pegged as the starter as cam was still the starting QB wich BB emphatically made that clear.

Mac won the starting job surpassed expectations showed alot of poise, accuracy, reading what the defense was doing. Made good decisions, scrambled to gain 1st downs.. won the respect of his peers , vets like McCourty were validating him as that guy.

That all didn't just magically go away, 2022 came along and we all know what transpired pointless for me to into go into detail. Bill o'Brien I feel will get Mac to an all pro level.. I'm not sitting here saying he's going to be MVP candidate ,but an all pro level is where Mac can reach. The pro joke means nothing!

This organization is about championship level football!

An all pro QB almost always wind the MVP

Not necessarily the case, Brady was an all pro basically his while career he didn't get MVPs each season.. all pro just means your elite at your position, be it 1st, 2nd or 3rd team.

It's a much more regarded sentiment then just a pro bowl selection..

These are the AP, Football Writers & PFF 1st, 2nd team All Pros & All conference QBs in recent years:

2022: Mahomes / Hurst / Burrow
2021: Rodgers / Brady / Burrow
2020: Rodgers / Mahomes / Allen
2019: Jackson / Wilson
2018: Mahomes / Brees
2017: Brady / Wentz / Ryan
2016: Ryan / Brady

To make these lists a QB has to have a monster year a/o lead your team to the top of the conference.

I know you're a real fan but do you believe the Patriots will end up at the top of the AFC conference this season? Do you believe that Mac will throw for >4400 yards and have >35 TDs & 10 INT?

If you do, please let me know what your taking and your suppliers #.

So your saying a QB has to have a monster year to make any of the all pros teams? 1st 2nd or 3rd? Also all pro selections have nothing to do with a teams record, it's more how your viewed among the elite based on your play, I guess I should have clarified that..

I know your venecol and all, but let's calm down.. lol no one's saying Mac will surpass any of those numbers... did we see Josh Allen becoming who he is? Based on his first 2 seasons?

I think your confusing all pro with MVP, there are many players that are all pros consistently however thier respective teams never win.. what I said was Brady was consistently an all PRO however not every season he was the MVP. I believe o'Brien can get Mac to an all pro level and that would be the height of Mac's abilities. That's all I'm saying.. that just my opinion.. however guess we'll see

Well yes, that's how you become an All Pro. All pros aren't greatest comeback player type of awards. They are the best of the best for those positions. I've never heard of a 3rd team all pro. Is that a fantasy football thing?

Most of the QBs in the list I posted had the best conference records aside from Wilson. All the guys in bold led their teams to the SB.

Allen dramatically improved from Yr 1 to Yr 2 and was an All Pro by Yr 3. That's what you're saying will happen with Mac, except he didn't improve in Yr 2, he regressed.

I'm not confusing an All Pro w/ an MVP although an MVP usually is also an All Pro. That's how good an All Pro has to be. We're specifically talking about a QB AP not a P or LS. Usually a QB AP is on a team that wins (during the regular season). Playoffs are entirely another matter.

If Mac can become an AP QB then that's all we can hope for and then some. That would mean he put us at the top of the conference, had a monster year, with a good chance in the playoffs. Looking at the list and seeing Wentz there, says there's a possibility, but then again he was 1-&-done, never again coming close to what he showed that season. That would suck if Mac turns out to be like Wentz.

Here's what pff says.. 3rd team all pros..

I see, definitely agree. And you're right. I was just starting an opinion that it's possible Mac can reach that level.

All Pro's I know that a high honor, I know looking at the lay out of the AFC it's going to be tough for Mac to surpass Allen, mahomes or burrow.

However with some viable weapons on the outside, along with the legit coaching he'll be getting an all pro like season is a realistic thing.. 28 TDs 10 INTs , 68% completion percentage, with an 11 win record is what I believe Mac can attain.

Just stating what I believe can happen, not that it necessarily will.

Your definitely right wants was phenomenal and then he got hurt.. same with RG3 got hurt and was never the same player again.

Specifically talking as you mentioned a QB, I'll say during Brady's era his teams always won, early on Specifically on defense.. Manning was the MVP, ALL-PRO darling the nfl wanted.

Brady has had some amazing seasons statistically who can ever forget about 2007 wow!

If burrow looses Higgins wich seems likely as Higgins is likely to get paid.. then that affects his game, just like when chase was out earlier in the season burrow didn't look like the same guy!

Now Mac has been given 3s and 4s and in his first seasons we have to admit pleasantly surprised us! If we can see that version of him, even a little better then we have something!

As far as free agents who do you think is the most sensible option at WR?

Also seems Jones wants to remain here, I definitely feel we need to be doing everything we can to retain our own players.

My feelings are getting a game changer on offense and defense would catapult us back into a contender?

Huntley had 2 TDS.

And if Mac made the Pro Bowl (again) you would've pitched a fit. The only thing worse than being a hater hating on the team you allegedly like is being stupid about it.

Haven't looked into FA market yet but hear WRs are thin.
