Well yes, that's how you become an All Pro. All pros aren't greatest comeback player type of awards. They are the best of the best for those positions. I've never heard of a 3rd team all pro. Is that a fantasy football thing?
Most of the QBs in the list I posted had the best conference records aside from Wilson. All the guys in bold led their teams to the SB.
Allen dramatically improved from Yr 1 to Yr 2 and was an All Pro by Yr 3. That's what you're saying will happen with Mac, except he didn't improve in Yr 2, he regressed.
I'm not confusing an All Pro w/ an MVP although an MVP usually is also an All Pro. That's how good an All Pro has to be. We're specifically talking about a QB AP not a P or LS. Usually a QB AP is on a team that wins (during the regular season). Playoffs are entirely another matter.
If Mac can become an AP QB then that's all we can hope for and then some. That would mean he put us at the top of the conference, had a monster year, with a good chance in the playoffs. Looking at the list and seeing Wentz there, says there's a possibility, but then again he was 1-&-done, never again coming close to what he showed that season. That would suck if Mac turns out to be like Wentz.
