That and trading for one, which no team who has a good one is going to be willing to do. I just don’t understand a way to reach a solution.

Every person will have various things you will/won’t like unless you get insanely lucky like we did. But even early round QBs are a crapshoot. Look at the Bears with Trubisky and who they passed on that year. You literally just never know and you typically waste years figuring it out.

Unless you’re Arizona. That’s the first and only time I’ve ever seen a team drop a top QB that fast…that was crazy.

But, either way, Mac has shown enough where we’ll hopefully feel like we know one way or another 14 weeks (+bye) from now. If it’s bad, I’m not going to be excited about starting over.

Or we can be like the Colts the last few years and take on veteran QBs who are past their prime like a Matt Ryan Carson Wentz or Philip Rivers. I think that approach probably has limited upside like we saw with them.

Your hate has you verging on vapidity. Who else claims Mac lacks anticipation and accuracy? He has a lot to prove, but accuracy and anticipation are widely recognized as his strengths.

This was a narrative developed last year on Mac and has been continued to be pushed with zero evidence to back this up and plenty of evidence to the contrary.

I said in another thread, if you collected all the criticisms by the anti-Mac crowd and you would think that he makes Zach Wilson look like Tom Brady. They seem to be all over the place on why Mac sucks and basically he does everything wrong and nothing right.

The Jets would probably do well with Rivers with that talent and that defense. Sort of hoping he’s happy being home with all of his kids. Don’t need them getting any help muddying the water in the division.

100% participation at practice today. The offensive line, which was an injury mess the first two weeks, is now healthy and coming together.

Suddenly Mac will have "it" and the QB fanboys and anti-Mac crowd will attribute it to his rapid and magical improvement.

Many fans have no clue how football works.

That 2017 Eagles team didn't have a magical QB in Wentz, and he didn't pass his magic dust to Foles once he got hurt. That offensive line was magical, those two QB's had all day to throw and those RB's were running through gaping holes... much like this season where the Eagles can plug any of their RB's in there and magically they become fantasy RB1 on the week... it doesn't matter who they put back there.

QB's, weapons... they can't do dck without the big uglies upfront providing time. Football is won and lost in the trenches.

Lol. His postseason performances - if they get there - will certainly dictate that. That was Dalton’s knock against him in Cincinnati (with Marvin Lewis). Hopefully Mac avoids that.

He is definitely NOT Zach Wilson but he is also Not Tua Tagliavola abd does not have similar skills as Tua.
Even if Mac had same weapons as Tua, he would not be nearly as good
Tua is much more mobile, quicker release, better runner, stronger arm

Waddle said Jones was the better QB at Alabama.

Right now Tua has a faster release, but Jones has historically had the faster release. Last year, Mac threw the ball on average 2.2 second, Tua was 2.3.

Tua hasn't been all that mobile in the NFL. He is still living off his reputation from his college days. And Jones doesn't get enough credit for his mobility.

Their arms aren't that different. Tua only has slightly stronger arm. It helps that he has Hill and Waddle who can get wide open.

I loved seeing that Mac vs. Hurts stat comparison. It really reveals how horrendously biased so many are against Mac. And, also how stupidly biased the sports media is when they're told they're supposed to anoint a new darling.
Just like the media wanted Fields to be a hero so badly. Why does everyone want Mac to fail so badly?
Out of his 1st round draft class, it's already down to just Mac & Trevor. (Trey, Zach, Justin are busts)
And I wouldn't be surprised if Trevor falls this season, and Mac wins 10 games. Still, they'll pile on Mac for not being good enough.
He's certainly not perfect, but I've seen improvement already this year, and once the OL settles in (and hopefully BB plays the best WR's) he should start to show it in the passing stats.
