Now we're making progress.
This is an interesting group of WRs with the recent additions of veteran Demarius Thomas and rookie 1st rounder N'Keal Harry. There will be quite a battle to make the lineup at receiver in camp. Throw RB James White and TE Austin Seferius Jenkins in with the guys who make the team and Brady will have plenty of weapons.
Wide and Slot Receivers
- Julian Edelman GOAT Squirrel L
- N'Keal Harry 6'2 225 L
- Phillip Dorcette 5'10 190 L
- Demaryius Thomas 6'3 225
- Maurice Harris 6"3 200
- Damoun Patterson 6'2 190
- Josh Gordon* 6'3 220
- Braxton Berrios 5'9 190
- Bruce Ellington 5'9 200
L - Lock to make the 53
* May never suit up, but if he does, good for 6 or 7 games tops.
Bruce Ellington is the most intriguing newcomer on the list for me. He is very strong, fast and experienced. If he demonstrates that he has the knowledge and instincts to block downfield, he could be the replacement for Amendola that was missing last year in two slot receiver sets.
Demaryius Thomas has a boatload of competition for the big receiver spot now that BB used a #1 pick on a similar player. If it lights a fire under Thomas to step up and make this team, a trio of Thomas, Harry and Gordon could be uncoverable in five wide sets. It would be great if all those guys were on the roster during that 4-game grinder after the bye.
