Yeah, it happened all the time because of the racetrack next door.

By the way, anyone who's not aware, this wasn't some fancy-pants Churchill Downs-type racetrack. This was the degen of the degen gamblers. Harness racing.

I swear the cheap ass Sullivans must've used the free dung from the track as fill at the base of the down slope towards the track and then spread a little gravel over it.

Point well taken, provided you were willing to climb up to the top of the place with a full bladder.
One also had to exercise caution not letting anything 'important' get stuck on the frosty chain link too but that's another matter.
Some folks, not saying who mind you but 'some' enterprising folks, would carefully wrap themselves in blankets we were allowed to carry in around themselves in such a way as to relieve themselves in their empties. Unfortunately said empties didn't always remain upright afterwards but that was a problem for the people in front of them.

Ahh the 'good' old days... good times... good times
just had to walk behind the eastern concourse... the architects were kind enough to build in some small alcoves... loved the fan forward design...

I spent a lot of time in 306 - it was employees/players family's section - so we missed a lot of the good stuff up there.

Except when it rained...then we got the same stuff.
section 12... south endzone... we were the people your parents warned you about

I thought you meant the top of the stadium.

'Concourse' haha a fancy word for the herd path at Schaefer lol

Wait...the South endzone?

Were you part of the goalposts onto Route 1?

And in our hearts we still are. We've only cleaned it up enough to look respectable

section 12... south endzone... we were the people your parents warned you about,
My first year with tickets 1988 I was in section 14 in the south endzone, the next year we moved to section 1 in the north endzone, to this day I’m still in the north endzone.

Better off taking your kids for a stroll down Washington St through the Combat Zone. It was safer and they'd see less behavior requiring an explanation
Ahhhhh, the Combat Zone...my Uncle lived in there for years, used to take me through there when I was a kid. Nobody bothered us, he was pretty well known from Charlestown.
Think about the name for a minute...The Combat Zone

Sounds like the Troughs at Old Fenway... those were a revelation
