Kraft: zero DV tolerance - no Mixon

just for accuracy's sake, she was listed as 5'6" and 130lbs in the probable cause affidavit, so she's not some petite little thing. ronda rousey, for instance, is 5'7" 135lbs.

SoonerScoop.com - Mixon charged with misdemeanor offense in alleged assault

.
And Mixon is 6'2", 210 pounds, solid muscle, professional caliber athlete. So the notion that this drunk girl with her open palm slap was any sort of legit threat to Mixon's well being is moronic.

BTW, bringing up Ronda Rousey? Really? Really..??

I've noticed that about 99.9% of the time when someone promises they will no longer be commenting in a thread, they still come back and comment in the thread.

I confess to being guilty of this for sure. I want so much to be done with things, and often try to offer a gracious way out, but dang it, someone will say something that just pulls me back in. It's my fault. I need to have better self control. On the front end, I need to just not announce that I'm done. That would help.

So yeah, total mea culpa on this one for sure.

Internet arguments man. They get ahold of you and you can't leave them. You might think about them all day. And that's how you end up spending hours of your life on the Patriots fan message board arguing with people who don't see anything wrong with a D1 running back breaking a woman's jaw because 'she started it'.

Fortunately XLIX and others have been making all the points I'd want to make for me, thus saving me some time and mental cycles ruminating on this thread. Thanks guys!

no need for name calling.

i am not saying at all that his response wasn't disproportionate (i think it was). it's just a personal thing of mine to always try to be accurate about facts.

my ronda rousey comparison may have been over the top, but my point was that a 130lb woman can hit harder than a 100lb woman.

Apologies if it seemed like that was a name directed at you.

In this case, I think the difference is negligible.

Joe Mixon was not domestic violence.

You're right, It was straight knockout!

In all seriousness though, Let's not forget who Bob Kraft really is. The same guy who backed the fuhrer after the Ray Rice coverup was exposed. Bob Kraft is a lying piece of **** rat. He's just as corrupt as the other 31. Don't ever forget who Robert Kraft really is. All this is show. We've seen it before. Let's not get fooled by it. Robert Kraft doesn't give a crap about domestic violence. All he cares about is all the money he can make, just like the other 31.

ETA: I agree it was wrong for Blount to hit the guy too, but it's not enough of an issue for me to not want him on the Patriots under any circumstances.

It wasn't wrong for Blount to clock that guy. The guy rubbed the win in his Blount's face and laid a hand on him. As soon as the guy laid a hand on Blount, it was straight knock out time. Blount was well within his rights to clock that sucker as far as I'm concerned.

From wikipedia:

"According to Molitor, Mixon and some of his teammates were harassing Molitor and her friend, claiming that the friend was gay. Mixon then followed Molitor and her friend into the shop. The surveillance video of the incident showed Mixon and Molitor having a verbal argument, which was followed by Molitor pushing Mixon, him lunging at her indicating to her to back off, her hitting him, and him hitting her back. His hit back caused her to fall and her face to slam into a table. Mixon later told police that Molitor's friend had directed a racial slur at him and that he responded with an homophobic slur at the friend"

So based on your own reasoning its seems Mixon was justified.

Also note that the surveillance video shows her hitting him first.

Seems like Mixon is more justified in his actions than Blount.

Blount was justified in his actions as soon as that sucker laid a hand on Blount. That was a call for straight knockout. The sucker got some well deserved Blount force trauma!

Edit: after seeing the GIF of the video again, I remove that statement about the incident.

None of this would have happened if she knew how to fight. She just punched him in the cheek and stood there before she ate a haymaker. She did good by throwing the first punch, but it should have been in the nose. Get those eyes watering so he can't see. Then, get up on the balls of your feet, square your body, and bob and weave away from his strong hand. Send a jab in at the nose again, continue to bob and weave until you get your shot, then throw a two piece with a right cross across the jaw. Once he hits the ground, ground and pound until you're sure he's not getting up. This would be a good time to rain down a few elbows and split him open for good measure. She didn't follow these basic principles and got worked. For training, I'd recommend a three mile run every morning followed by some work on the heavy and speed bags. Maybe we can get a re-match in the future if the money is right. Don't forget to hit the dislike button on your way out.

OK WTF? She initiated contact. I hadn't seen this before and it really does change the situation. This isn't violence against woman, this is a fight, one she started -- one she was stupid to start, but she still escalated it to contact against a fit and tranined athletic male, she should be the one eating the consequences here. If you can't finish what you start, don't start crap.

Hell he even gave her a last warning and (barely) restrained himself, then she hit him again. At some point you just don't need to be putting up with that. At some point protecting her actions just rewards stupidity.

It's one thing to put up with a woman's words, but if she lays hands on you first, as far as I've always been concerned, all bets are off and she's stepping into the arena. The law should NOT protect a woman who's already crossed that boundary because then you're protecting her exactly and ONLY because female. The law should NEVER protect the aggressor in a fight. Basic rules of gender equality ought to give him all the right to finish his business just as if it was a man trying to lay hands on him as long as he doesn't carry on after the fight is over.

Although I can agree with your position. I think there's missing context here. We don't know what really happened. Only he said, she said. That's the problem. If it was the case of her striking him unprovoked, I 100% agree with your position and opinion on gender equality. But I feel like we'll never be able to know the full story.

Anything said publicly by any even semi-experienced businessman or politician is made for some political, business or other strategic purpose. This is no different. Anyone talking about "principle" or "backbone" with respect to these comments has no understanding of the way this stuff works.

@XLIX are you going to be okay, little buddy? Did Wheelman hurt your feelings with that dislike?
Which one? He spammed dislikes into every single post I made in this thread.

But yeah, I think I'll survive. No matter how contentious an argument gets, I never give out disagrees/dislikes unless someone gives me one, then I return the favor on a 1:1 basis. People usually get the idea, but he is extremely slow on the uptake.

I go in every once in a while and give @EatSleepWinRepeat a dislike on one of his posts and then, every once in a while, I'll sign in and see that he/she disliked 15 of my posts. Always good for a laugh. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go hit him with one now.
