Kraft regrets giving Belichick so much power without “checks and balances” in place.

Belichick didn’t win a SB without Brady. There’s a huge difference between only having 3 winning seasons and 1 playoff win and what the others did.

To me this is less about credit and more about the idea that Bill’s beyond reproach because of his success with Brady. He obviously did great in that context. My point is that Kraft isn’t wrong when he questions giving Bill all that power even if Brady smoothed over the issues that arose from that while he was here and we didn’t see the biggest issues with that structure until the end
That Boat is named 8 rings for a reason.

That’s not how I view it at all. Hes implying that Bill had too much power and it was okay for a longtime when Brady was here, then Bill started using that power to push Brady out and the cracks started to show. It started with Gronk getting fed up and leaving. Then Brady left. 2017 clearly left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths because Bill made a personal decision in that Super Bowl according to Kraft and others.
Meh. Gronk started *****ing about his contract (again) and stopped having fun. Tom wanted out because he was sick of Bill (and Bill was sick of Tom). Of course 2017 sucked.....but they won it in 2018. People who think BB benched MB for "personal" reasons are smoking something. Jesus.
Then once Brady and Gronk were gone, they hoped it wouldn’t matter because Bill was so great. They didn’t expect he would go into the season with Stidham and then scramble for Cam.
Tom outlived the Jimmy G contract. Plain and simple. Not much else they could have done.
They didn’t expect him to almost lose Mayo because he wouldn’t name him DC because it would undermine his son.

They didn’t expect him to show his ass so bad on the Patricia hire.

They didn’t expect them to ever collapse like last year.

Basically Bill had full control and was allowed to make a lot of bad moves that led to all the safety nets leaving and the ultimate decline of the franchise and by the time it became too much, it was impossible to pull that away from him without firing him. He’s said as much before
This I agree with.

Like he should have "checked" the mirror to see if he could "balance" the decision of Tom leaving.
Brady staying wouldn’t have mattered. They loaded up to get the 6th and scraped to hold it together in 19 then had no cap left even without paying Brady.

Of course I did.
I literally asked very specific simple questions and you couldn’t answer them. Just like you’ll never answer the truth to why you lied so long about your identity

I answered them. I didn’t.

Kraft is an idiot. BB gets a 2 min standing O at Tom's HoF ceremony and he goes on and brags about having to firing him.

Hes crapped more on BB publicly than he has Tuna.

There is a deeper issue here. No question.

I don't think that matters to Kraft. His favorite "like a son" QB left and he was stuck here with grumpy Bill.

Yeah the deeper issue is Kraft wants credit.

I think having Brian Flores ( HC) and Brian daboll next year could push the team to elite status.

Flores will be able to fine-tune the defense and make it work like clockwork while daboll gets a josh Allen clone and could go ballistic. To top that you have high draft capital and real cash to spend.

You painting a rather ominous caricature of Krafty..

I don't think RK is a kinkster like @XLIX posts. Most people are not kinksters - he could be but that is not the majority of the situations. The "happy endings" does lend itself to a kinkster profile either.

The explanation is usually something really simple. I think RK is super cheap and that reflects throughout his life. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. RK, the lonely billionaire, drove his Bentley to the strip mall because it was cheap, quick, and easy, with the enphasis on cheap.

I'm not ready to give up on Covington or these coaches....yet.

This is a great idea. Who is the head coach and who is the coordinator?

Really? The defense can't stay in their lanes or tackle. The offense can not execute a screen play. It is very ugly to me.

I would be very excited about Flores and Daboll as defensive and offensive coaches.

Flores - HC and daboll - OC. DC could be someone who Flores brings in or Covington could stay as DC. ST will be untouched.

Again this is if coaching leaves a lot to be desired. If on defense we are able to clean up and be a top 10 defense with the injuries and on offense are able to push an average of 250-300 yards a game and maybe win 6-7 of the next 11 games, then game on with mayo and Covington.

Just that Flores looks to have the defensive edge like what bill , Steve spagnuolo or Tom coughlin had which is required for teams with post season aspirations.

Nothing works if you don’t change the GM.
