Kraft on new "Committee on Los Angeles Opportunities"

Or it's a sign that Kraft is reverting to his usual "lie back and take it" behavior.

It's a race to L.A. and I'm more interested in who the winner will be:
Rams
Chargers
Raiders
I'm Probably forgetting one or two teams.
A friend attended a Raider game when the Pats played out there. Said it was the worst stadium she's ever been to...not even close.

Jeez, this is such a silly statement. Some fans seem to have this notion that if they're not being involved, no one's doing anything.

I just hope they don't take the Chargers. I like San Diego, but do not like LA. I'd rather SD have a team than LA, personally. Let them have the raiders.

Maybe the league does the smart thing and just allows 2 more expansion teams to join.

Obviously 1 team in LA and the other might be....

San Antonio
OKC
Vegas
Omaha
Orlando

??????

Lots of potential sites for a 2nd franchise to join.

It is. It looks like a big High School stadium.

Hopefully not Orlando. That market seems dried up. I went to college there, it's such a transient city that I don't know if there should be a football team there. Maybe I'm wrong.

It would be: Jacksonsville, Tampa, Miami, then Orlando?

On that list I would think OKC would get it before any of the rest, just my opinion though.

San Antonio is by far the best choice for a franchise.

I've been to Oklahoma and I'll tell you they are football crazy there. Give that state a team and I'm sure they get a full stadium every game.

Agreed that this is far more likely about relocation (Chargers, Rams, Raiders) than an expansion franchise. This article from 538.com isn't perfect, but it shows how LA is pretty clearly the only good US market left to go into -- the other markets either aren't big enough, are more of a reclassification of nearby franchises fans than adding new fans, or have issues (Vegas with gambling, Nevada and Florida economies in general).

I hate to see another city lose its team though. In some ways I hope it's the Chargers that move to Industry or someplace like that - close enough that SD fans can continue to support and see the team, but close enough to get the LA market too.

Two more teams would screw up the current division model and further water-down the product. This effect will only get worse as the pool of potential players diminishes because of parent's valid injury concerns.

The LA Colisseum was built for the 1932 Olympics. I went to a couple of games there in the 1960s. It was blah then.

So if an expansion team...

The LA ________?

They could be the LA X, with a Green helmet with an airplane on it with "LAX" written on it instead of "Jets". Hmmm. No, they'd probably want to be more optimistic than that.

LA Oscars?
LA Studio?
LA Woman?

We need to help this team out. A basketball team left the "Land of a Thousand Lakes," went out to LA, and to this day is still the Lakers. They obviously are not equipped for a task of this magnitude.

(Let's knock this out then speculate on the "other" expansion name. It's the offseason. What the hell.)

Where the Chargers play is a death trap.

Junkies? Pornos? Crips?
