That's what I recall from reports back then, that it was her suggestion and the cutoff sleeves were hemmed. Can't find any links to it now, 15 years later.

I knew there was something I didn't like about her... But there were a couple of things she had that I couldn't get past...

Speaking of not being ready to play….

Does this look like a player who is rehabbing a “significant” hammy injury?

#shadowsuspendedbybill

PS: damn, he is skinny

Could the team be punishing him without publicly suspending him?
This would be absolutely ridiculous.
So having a fake injury to have him on IR for a few weeks.

I would think the PA would have something to say about that.

Ordinarily I would say no but everything around Jack Jones has been weird for the last year or so.

I don't think Mac "sucks" but these stats all compiled together are what I (and some others have) been saying about Mac. He just can't seem to get us over the hump and it is looking less and less likely that he will be the guy.

Be forewarned the way this guy talks is extremely annoying.

He did have some good stats, some that has been discussed on the board. But an interesting stat he brought up was the Pats have held the most teams to 24 points or less in the last 3 years. I'm not a big fan of Mac, but he has not been set up to succeed...like at all. Two QB's that have putrid arms and are playing well are Tua and Purdy. Both have creative offensive minds with Shanahan being arguably the best and tons of talent. Mac has neither.

And the guy talks like every sentence is a question.

I agree that Bill has failed Mac. He has given him a group of 2's and 3's at receiver and some shaky offensive lines and basically threw away a whole year of development by making his friend OC and then got mad at Mac for not loving the experience. I am ready for a younger innovative head coach next season who can see if there is anything worth slavering with Mac.

The problem is that he could just be a QB who can't the team over the hump or he is just playing with one hand tied behind his back and he isn't elite to overcome it. You can look at some of these games and see how he put them in a position to get that game winning drive and others screwed up. Week one you have Boutte not dragging the second foot and Bourne dropping a third down pass the drive before. That game in Miami is first game where Harris fumbles the ball on first and goal at the end of the game.

Unless the Patriots give him at least a decent supporting cast with good play calling, we will never know the truth. We may not know the truth until if and when he goes to another team that will build a team around him.

People are making definitive decision on the guy when he has really been hamstrung. It's funny, but Justin Fields has done nothing other than have one or two great games and a whole bunch of awful games and people are still making excuses for him that his o-line isn't good enough. But people have been writing off Mac since the beginning of last year.

If this season goes like this the rest of the way, they have to let Belichick go. And I am not sure if Mayo is the guy you want to replace him since he comes from the Belichick school. The only way I want Mayo is if he hires an innovative OC and allows him to run the offense the way he sees it. We see that a lot in the NFL these days. Not sure if Mayo would go for it though.

I am getting ahead of myself, but the more I see of Belichick over the last few years, the more I think he has lost his fast ball and may just be here for the Shula record.

May be?

If ownership wants to see Bill the HC pass the hated Shula in 2024, then it needs to fire Bill the GM on Black Monday, if not on the day Before the trade deadline so new GM Eliot the Wolf can begin the tear-down process.

If he doesn't agree, then ownership needs to fire Bill the HC too.

Ah, your new defense will be 4 OC's in 4 years. How long can this charade go on before you give up? 5 OC's? 6?

I love Mayo but a lot of the recent defensive coaches haven’t been great. Brandon, Staley and LA, Robert Salah, in New York, Matt, Eberflus, in Chicago, Matt, Patricia, Todd, Bowles. All recent DC’s without much success.

I don’t care if it is Mac, another draft pick, or a veteran they acquire starting under center. I want innovation on offense. This has nothing to do with Mac Jones. This is about bringing the Patriots’ offense into the 2020s.

O’Brien is the best we are going to get with Belichick here, but I want a guy like McDaniel who is making a Mac Jones quality QB into a legitimate MVP candidate. Granted they need the talent too. But McDaniel’s scheme and play calling is part of it.

I think would rather have an offensive mind too. Look at McDaniel. The guy is a lightweight, but he is a pretty innovative offensive mind and he is making Tua an MVP candidate. And it isn't all Hill and Waddle that is doing it.

Maybe it's easier to ramp up the offense than it is to construct a sound defense with defensive principles.

This isn't the first time that offensive coaches took over the league.

2 decades ago it was the same deal: Norv Turner, Mike Martz, Steve Mariucci, Andy Reid, Mike Riley, Mike Holmgren, Jon Gruden, Jim Fassel, Dennis Green, Mike Sherman, Mike Shanahan, Chris Palmer, Brian Billick, etc. Most of the league coaches were former OCs. Some of them actually won: Gruden and Billick. But the guys with the defenses are the guys who won the most: Belichick, Dungy, Cowher, Coughlin, Tomlin, Carroll.

That switched around the last 4 years with Reid and McVay

Sam Howell
THIS was the right QB pick in the late rounds last year.

Not sure why they threw away a 4th rounder on UDFA level talent like Crappy Zappy instead. Imagine actually thinking that guy was ever going to be an NFL QB and put Jones on the bench for good. Lolol
