Im not so sure that Edelman is a good comparison. He was a good return man right off the bat and showed quickness and an ability to get separation in the slot. I'm not sure what Dobson's problem is. He has the size and speed to be elite but just can't get separation at times, doesn't seem to be in synch with Brady and drops easy catches. I hope you're right and he improves but I am not holding my breath at this point.

He has the tools, his problem seems to me is more mental than technical, he was thrown into the fire right after the draft, no red shirt year, Brady screaming with the rookies, no Gronk, no Hernandez, a ton on injuries in that cursed season, then nothing out of his 2nd year.

For all the care and caution BB takes in his approach with the rookies, that wasn't the case at all with Dobson.

Yeah , but They have kept many players over the years that never contributed a lot to the team.

As has every team, that's why there is an annual draft. But the fact remains that the team feels more confident about Dobson than you apparently do.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say Jules was a good return man right off the bat. He was getting booed pretty heavily in training camp, and he didn't actually do much as a returner in his rookie season. He returned 6 punts for 63 yards with a long of 35, but below Welker's stats that season as Wes was our primary punt returner.

Jules also returned 11 kickoffs, averaging 21.9 yards and never breaking one over 40 yards. He really didn't carve out that role until his second season, and he did more on the defensive side of the ball than as a receiver for the next two seasons.

I agree about Dobson. I don't know what the problem is, but it just isn't working out. I hope it does. Maybe he'll be a late bloomer like Jules. Maybe he'll take inspiration from teammate Dion Lewis, who looks like he's going to break out finally. Or maybe he'll get cut next week. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Even if Aaron Dobson is not the answer, I highly doubt Kembrell Thompkins, will be the answer to whatever question you are asking. I highly doubt Dobson has done anything wrong thus far in the early season.

The only question KT is the answer to is "which WR should never be active on gameday?"

Rather kick the tires on Lewis, Pryor.
Cowboys made a solid move to tRade for Brice Butler

Had I known that Oakland was amenable to trading one of its WRs, I would've asked about Andre Holmes. He spent 4 months with the Pats during the 2013 off-season, so he would have at least had
some familiarity with this offense.
