    As of Week 11:
    1. Points/Game - 14th
    2. YPG - 25th
    3. 3rd down % - 25th
    4. Net passing yards/attempt - 20th
    5. Net rushing yards/attempt - 19th
    6. TO % - 8th
    Average = 19th

Opponent offensive rankings (PPG) - UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 10:
    1. Texans - 16th
    2. Jaguars - 29th
    3. Lions - 20th
    4. Dolphins - 25th
    5. Colts - 6th
    6. Chiefs - 2nd
    7. Bears - 5th
    8. Bills - 32nd
    9. Packers - 13th
    10. Titans - 28th
    Average = 18th

Obviously, most of the stats took a dive with... whatever that was... that they put out on the field on Sunday. Granted this is just a basic snap shot, but as of 11/13, the unit is still performing below average overall against below average competition.

This team has never had this poor of a combined PA average (relative to the rest of the league) and road record during the same season under Bill & TFB...ever. Even during the Dysfunctional Season of 2009, with a B & T-worst road record of 2-6, they were still 5TH! in the league in PA. I am not optimistic at all about their prognoses in either Miami or Sh!tsdirt, and am bracing for a #3 seed.

    Yup

It really, really awful when a team needs to brace for the possibility of the terrible playoff possibilities with a #3 seed.

Given the amount of walking wounded combined with the QB's age, playing on Wild Card weekend would not be ideal.

They still have inside track on the Second Seed. But winning out might be only chance of getting that. That said I don't trust that Defense to make a stop when it counts.

We've been spoiled, for sure. But that Titans game was a disturbing red flag coming this late in the season.

With Flores having been interviewed for HC roles and on the proverbial radar of some NFL teams, if a strong playoff run and/or SB victory comes to fruition, he might be outta here.

Been busy as of late. I'll try to update these numbers as of tomorrow. Short guess would be that we're looking much better after the last couple of weeks.

Surprised that Shelton is ranked higher than the rest of the DT's in pressures.

Anyone who trusts this defense is setting themselves up for disappointment.

In todays NFL no defense should be trusted completely.

To your point, here are the top 5 scoring defenses in the NFL this year. And here's some games they've had defensively....

    1. Baltimore (17.8 ppg)
    - allowed 34 points to Cincy
    - allowed 36 points to Carolina

    2. Dallas (18.6 ppg)
    - allowed 28 to Tennessee
    - allowed 462 yards to Houston

    3. Tennessee (19.5 ppg)
    - allowed 34 points to Houston
    - allowed 38 points to Indianapolis
    - allowed more than 430 yards three times

    4. Houston (19.6 ppg)
    - allowed 34 points to Indianapolis
    - allowed 428 yards to Cleveland
    - allowed 27 points to the Giants when they were TERRIBLE

    5. Chicago (20.1 ppg)
    - allowed 31 to Miami (and nearly 600 yards!)
    - allowed 38 to New England
    - allowed 30 to NY Giants

Long story short, even the "elite" defenses in today's NFL can get shredded from time to time. Dallas' defense has been the most consistently good unit in the NFL.

Yep and that's why I'm not freaking out about this Pats D. I think the defenses you mention have all pro talent but the rules prevent them from being elite.

Even the 2013 Seahawks had a couple of clunkers but they were consistent. Today there is no such thing

Someone has to design a defense that is elite within the rules and parameters of the league now. Another buddy Ryan like tweaking. How you’d do that and worry about not landing on anyone and no head hits is beyond me
