Who helped develop Tom?
There were stories they would call each other all hours of the night to break down film or talk about play concepts.

We can’t act like Josh didn’t make Tom betterz
Randy Moss, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Brady all lauded Josh.
Now Their was rumors Josh and Toms relationship soured at the end.
I think this was a combination of time in any relationship you start to hate how the other person chews or breathes or it was the fact Tom was bitter about the discounts he took only to see Aaron Dobsons come in to throw the ball to.
Or he really felt he was bigger and smarter than his coaches that the GOAT didn’t need to be told he missed a read or missed a open wr.

Eff Davante Adams we saw how soft he was when Peppers was breaking him,
I trust Jules and Moss over him.
Brady won a Super Bowl at age 43 for a different team, new coach and new o coordinator. It was all Brady.

Keep McDaniels far far away from the draft. He is awful at evaluating talent (drafted Tim Tebow in the first round!!!) and traded a next years first to move up in the second round for 5’8” cornerback Alphonso Smith

If he is the real deal then they should do it. There are no sure fire candidates at other positions so it makes sense to draft the position of need.
You don't think Carter or Graham are sure fire prospects?

I think Conerly is the best tackle in the class. My concern is that people are going to figure that out and he will rise so high up draft boards they will have to use their #4 to get him.
I also think he is the best LT in this draft. I have that same worry

Two words: Tom Brady
Two more words. Kyle Orton.

I'm not super high on McDaniels but he did get Kyle Orton to get over 3500 yards passing in back to back years with 20 or more TDs.

He also got Brandon Lloyd a 1400 yard season at WR with 11 TDs in Denver

Best tackle in the draft but is he a blue chip type of prospect? The big picture need for blue chip talent should trump any positional need.

That's true but Peyton Manning also lauded Adam Gase and got him jobs.

Meh. Not a fan of this. Only real good aspects are he is an actual NFL caliber OC and with him and Vrabel, we at least have adults back in the locker room. I have no dislike for JM, actually loved when he was here the first two times.

But I wanted a younger whipper snapper considered an up and coming genius. Whoever that was.

I think Wolf got Gibson for that reason and then the offense that the coaches called never used that skill. It's one of the reasons I'm hopeful Wolf, working with Vrabel, will be improve this offseason.
I’m ok with Gibson being on the team and he certainly had his moments, but I don’t think he is that kind of back. Not explosive enough and honestly, not good enough.

You can’t take a tackle at 4 unless you are getting a top 5 nfl caliber tackle.
Trade down or draft a difference maker on defense someone to cause havoc on the QB, shut down a field or collapse the middle of the pocket.

I don’t see a tackle worth a top 10 pick.
I can't argue with the logic. Drafting a tackle assumes that the player is roughly BPA with other positions. Sometimes it can be worth slightly overpaying for a sure thing at a critical position if trading down means there is real risk of not getting a player that is ready to help right away.

What does Brady at 43 have anything to do with the present situation? Maye is 22.

The discussion is about Josh developing Maye. Brady didn't develop all by himself, he had coaches, mentors, and skills instructors. Maye will need the same. Can Josh oversee that development of Maye is the question.

Gibson had 4.39 40 time (99th percentile). He was a good receiving back for WAS and even here last year considering how low volume the passing game was overall.

Do I think he'll be the best 3rd down back in the league? No. But in terms of positions we have a dire need for upgrading... that's one I'd be ok letting rock with who we have in Gibson.

Kraft had to find someone that he didn't have to pay.

I thought we were done with the BB tree?
You are aware that from 2018 to 2021 seasons Josh McDaniels was paid the same as most Head Coaches were over those years to stop him from taking the Indy HC job.

And, while this has never been reported, the contract McDaniels received from the Raiders was inordinately lucrative for a hiring with no other teams competing for his services - 6 years $10 million a year which put him in the top ten of HC salaries. Of course, you could chalk that up to Mark Davis being an idiot and/or the Patriots were bidding to keep him from leaving once more.

Stop letting Smelger and Spaz operate your brain on their behalf. You’re smarter than they are and you’re not being paid oodles to stir up sh-t.

I think drafting another third down back between the fourth and fifth round is a good value.
Here’s a guy I will bring Up Mcnichols from Tenn in free agency.
