There are people whose job it is to figure that out. Seems like they took the easiest answer out of comfort and caution.
ahhh, the football message board answer akin to

Two more words. Kyle Orton.

I'm not super high on McDaniels but he did get Kyle Orton to get over 3500 yards passing in back to back years with 20 or more TDs.
After trading away a far more talented 4500 yard passer in his prime and destroying the locker room. That was Mcdaniel’s MO. Replaced talent with far inferior talent and destroyed the locker room.

What level of communication can Josh have with Maye to get him ready for start of season?

and now the coaches under Josh
passing game coordinator
running game coordinator
QB coach
assistant QB coach
WR receiver coach
assistant WR coach
running back coach
tight ends coach
==========
I hope that we keep one or more of the present group of AVP, McCartney and McAdoo.

Woohooo

Not looking outside the Patriots family again McDaniels is a myth with an overly complicated outdated system that has never developed an elite outside WR and that's sucked without Brady and don't give me Mac Jones, Mac Jones played about 5 good games.

One would hope you could do better than repeat nonsensical mediot talking points. The system was "complicated" to serve Brady's unique talents, yet simplified and updated enough to render a top-six NFL offense in 2021. There is ample crossover from McDaniels' hybrid offensive system and the much-ballyhooed West Coast offense AVP ran for Drake Maye. Josh reportedly spent time during this past year studying up and tweaking his approach. The transition for next season should be relatively seamless, with the anticipated benefit of McDaniels' expertise/experience serving long-term continuity: Unlike a younger hotshot upstart, he's not a HC flight risk. In his case, that ship has sailed.

Let's look at the Bright side Josh McDaniels will Never and I say Never get another HC job in the NFL. So he'll be here for a very very long time. Maye's OC for life...Did I say I love this??

You can also scratch off any remote possibility of Devante Adams or any former Raider wanting to come here lol
We don't want any of those Raiders either...the feelings is mutual.

I said in another post elsewhere - I think it’ll be a fairly vanilla first year as Maye gets up to speed, but in year 2 onward they will get more and more creative.

The good news is that they have several starter-level players with experience:
- starting C David Andrews
- starting G Mike Onwenu
- starting TE Hunter Henry
- starting RB Rhamondre Stevenson
- WRs Pop Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne (the first two under Bill O’Brien, but same concepts)
Great RB class Rham will become an afterthought.

Brady won a Super Bowl at age 43 for a different team, new coach and new o coordinator. It was all Brady.

Keep McDaniels far far away from the draft. He is awful at evaluating talent (drafted Tim Tebow in the first round!!!) and traded a next years first to move up in the second round for 5’8” cornerback Alphonso Smith
Keep him away from any mention of a HC: that's where he's a miserable failure. As a OC that's now: that's a different story.

I don't love it. WR's have a hard time picking up his system...and this team has one of the worst WR rooms in the league.

The team needs new blood. Not just brining back old familiar guys.

Well, I guess we'll see how it works out...
Reach WR's Drafted by BB.

Get Josh a TE and you'll see his Offense controls the Middle of the Field. Would Love to get that Michigan kid Loveland in the Second.

Who's our pass Game Coordinator now?? Seems like the better Offense are solid in that area.

I kinda wanted that new upcoming young OC but I’m good with Josh, I’m confident he can alter his scheme and do what’s best for Maye.

See the forest …this is shaping up perfectly for this team. Fundamentals wins you championships. The fancy stuff gets you highlights.
