As always, it will be about the price tag. It's hard to know which WR's are going to "get it" in this system, so if you overspend on a Nelson and he doesn't fit in, you're taking a big risk. If he's priced as another body in a WR competition, there's certainly worse options out there.
As for the Decker comparisons, I disagree. Nelson was a WAY better receiver during his prime than Decker was during his, so a similar dropoff would still leave you with a better player than we got in Decker last year.
A more apt comparison may be Reggie Wayne, who was a great receiver in his own right, but was done (maybe more mentally than physically) with football. Hard to predict that before they're in camp, but 700+ yards with a strong finish to the year doesn't sound like a player who's necessarily on the outs. Plus it was in a dumpster fire of an Oakland team with a QB the head coach might hate. I doubt anything was easy there.
