Joe Milton is a "better option" than any QB available in this year's NFL Draft.

Trying to work multiple projects and keep up with combine news at the same time. Something is liable to get screwed up. Glad it was this.

Strike while the iron is hot!

This Twitter account started with emphasizing small details of reports out of context and then at some point switched to clearly just makings things up.
Please. This is a promising Pats QB!! We would never blow Ryan Mall...Joe Milton out of proportion.

It is hilarious how this team sucks but this forum nevertheless sees every player on this team as worthy of a first round pick.

Milton was a 6th rounder last year. He played reasonably well in one glorified exhibition game against the Bills.

People need to stop losing their minds regarding how much that one game improved his draft stock trade value.
Exhibition game or not, he still had to throw the ball well to the receiver, he put it on the numbers. But should we trade him, its a no for me at the moment.

Clearly, we should hold out for a Herschel Walker level trade deal then. /traumatic sarcasm

PLEASE stop it. First, we are NOT going to trade Joe Milton this coming season. We aren't because quite frankly is one game showcase isn't worth much, given the time of season and the competition at the time. Second, he MIGHT very well be worth much more down the road just a mere year or two.

The amount of daft and FA supposition is becoming ludicrous. Christ there must be a literal army of guys making up trades, drafts, and FA signings and they are different every day.

They pass the time. They amuse and provide some conversation as we move out of Winter and get closer to the season. But NO ONE should ever care about the opinion give. It's just that. An opinion and your sources are probably better too.

I would wait. Maye getting hurt is not beyond the realm of possibility. I’d rather have Milton that some washed vet.

So you're saying there's a chance...

Hold him until a team is willing to give up a ransom. Let the mystery build and fester... QB desperate teams do desperate things.

We also better make sure Drake Maye is not fool's gold. He needs to prove he can stop throwing silly interceptions.
I'm not concerned about the INT's with Maye Wozzy. He had no OL and No weapons. Payton Manning threw a ton of INT's as a rookie. He'll be fine. But your point is taken.

Yeah I'm not too concerned about the ints right now. Ints are a teaching moment for a rookie so you know what you will and won't get away with doing in the NFL. I don't like the strip sacks though, that's not protecting the ball back there or when he's in motion. Hopefully with much better coaching this year they can work on that with him. He also needs to slide better.

If they get a 3rd round or better offer and do not accept, the our organization is dumber than I give the credit.
The only valid reason IMO to turn down a 3rd or better is if the team believes strongly that Milton is better than Maye and will beat him for the starters role. I don't think they do...

Agreed. And Vrabel addressed the whole sliding thing. He told Maye if he didn't learn to slide that he was bringing a Slip and Slide to camp for him to use!

Brady fumbled around 17 times in his first year.

He got better, and with true GOAT elite good fortune the Pats recovered almost all of those fumbles.

One of my early concerns with Brady was how easy it seemed to be to separate the ball from him.

I get the rationale of hold your horses he was a 6th round pick against the JV Bills BUT...

Browns are gonna **** the bed.
Jets are gonna Jet.
Raiders are gonna Davis.

And the list goes on. Everyone who doesn't get Stafford isn't making a Williams, Daniels, Maye decision. They're holding their noses and calling their realtors in advance of a mid-season firing because it's Sanders (the top guy in the Big 12 which is the JV to the Big 10 which is the JV to SEC and had a receiver my 57 year old 5'6" self could look ok with) or Ward who beat up the red headed stepchild version of the previous list.

There's just enough memory of Brady, recent-cy of Purdy, and ego for these particular pinheads to trade their 2025 first for JM3.

Doubt it? Think how many emotionally stupid decisions the Davis family has made in the name of the sexy player to sell tickets. You don't think they'd be all over JM3s cannon arm???

If Milton turns out to be a stud we can possibly get couple of 1s and few more change in his 3rd year or final year from a team that's desperate. If he doesn't amount to anything , worst case we might not get anything but at least have a cheap backup for 3 years.

I think we need to showcase Milton more and drive up his value so that we can have more asset in 2026/2027 when we really start competing. Let's hope Milton turns out into our equivalent of matt Stafford who will reinvigorate our franchise with the trade picks .
