Joe Milton is a "better option" than any QB available in this year's NFL Draft.

Great point!

No 6th round pick is EVER going to become a good quarterback around these parts!
here we go again.... whenever I bring up Joe Milton's current draft value, someone immediately compares him to Tom Brady.... the sheer idiocy is like clockwork. If you want to claim Milton is the next Tom Brady, you go right ahead and die on that hill. Meanwhile....

NEWSFLASH:
I never said he wasn't good.
I never said he wasn't going to be good.
What I said was this:

In 2024's draft, he was a 6th round quarterback. Absolutely nothing has happened in the past year to significantly change that. You have people in this thread calling him worth a first rounder. 1 good-but-not-great game against Buffalo's backups doesn't turn him into a 1st rounder.

No team is going to pay a 1st rd pick for Joe Milton. But it makes no sense to trade him for less than a 1st. End point, he should be on the roster competing for the #2 spot against Dobbs.

The backup QB position is valuable. Belicheck spent 2 3rd picks, and a 2nd rd pick on getting a backup QB behind Brady.

Milton showed he might be a good backup, so trading him off for a 3rd or 2nd, which is smartly used for a backup QB, makes zero sense

word is the pats are looking for a 3rd for milton. if that's the case i say keep him one more year.
agreed, don't settle for a 3rd. Keep him, develop him, play him a little and let this thing build up to 2026 and some QB desperate team will pony up

IF the Third is coming from any in the Top 10 I would make the deal.

I hope Josh will be inventive and create some gadget plays for Milton during the games.
Well since he'll be the #2 as opposed to #3 QB, he will at least have the option. As the #3 QB almost all year, Milton could only come in if the other two QBs were hurt, and by rule they couldn't come back in.

He's not going to magically be worth any more next year just like he wasn't magically worth any more this year.

I agree! I think Milton should he kept and developed!! I like him a lot.

Accuracy is never going to be his calling card, but he is a playmaker and we desperately need playmakers!!!!!

The only way we are developing Milton is if something is wrong with Maye.

Let us hope that does not happen.

Really????? What do you think the definition of developing him is????

At this point, the only real development which would benefit him would be to actually see meaningful action in meaningful games. He isn't going to significantly improve by holding a clipboard during games and running the 2nd string offense in practices all year long.

Unfortunately we only got a 5th. I have a feeling this move was more for Maye's confidence then getting best value out of the trade. I would have held out for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I think he just isn’t that good & this is just another example of fans’ hopes and dreams not aligning with real life.

Doesnt matter. 5th round pick is rohrwasser on average for us. Why trade Milton for peanuts .

Bills laid down they instantly became our biggest enemy even over the Jets.
