It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Any clue why Hoyer to FA is the move instead of as part of trade package? I imagine it's ostensibly part of cap management. But, it also puts the Patriots backup contingent on signing a free agent - other teams could be "suddenly" interested in Hoyer if they're cap rich competitors.
The amount of back pedaling going on here is sky high lol. We went from "YEA TWO FIRSTS MINIMUM FOR JG" to "HE WAS NEVER GONNA BE OUR QBOTF"
I find it hard to believe that this move wasn't made for the intention of something. Maybe someone else will be dealt. Idk.
Yeah, maybe.Pass at that number right now.
Would it make any money difference?Wink/nod so that SF foots the Hoyer bill, would be my guess. Hoyer's not the kind of guy to gum this up, if it's the actual plan, from what little I know of him.
Pretty sure hoyer was part of the discussions.Probably the close to $3M contract this year, plus $2.9M that could become guaranteed next year if he's on the roster in March 2018.
Brian Hoyer
With offset language, they could probably get him to play for the minimum.
