I dissagree. We are arguing about who has the better hands. I think that Randy Moss catches a higher % of balls thrown his way BECAUSE he has such great hands. He makes catches that almost no other receivers can make. I think that is very valid. Moss can catch ball that are over/under thrown, bad passes, and jump balls.
I agree with you about Moss' ability to catch balls, but the measure of how many balls caught vs. how many are thrown to receivers is useless. Each throw must be evaluated along with the conditions of each throw.
If receiver A has a crappy QB who is always throwing behind him or too high, etc., that is a huge factor not being considered. Also, If a WR is playing in a dome with no wind & rain/snow makes it a lot easier to catch balls but that is not considered either.
Once again, we agree about Moss' hands, but this % of balls caught measuring stick sucks and is basically useless.
