I agree that most cancer-related "jokes" should not be shared as jokes. But in this case specifically, any genuinely righteous P.C. umbrage is misplaced. One must consider who the jibe was aimed at, why, plus posts #604 and #609 of this thread. Context is important.

One would think the very nature of this thread would preclude bringing any sense of umbrage or expectation of PC behavior to it. But hey welcome to America in 2018 where just about everyone is offended by most everything and heaven forbid someone humorously point out just maybe a thread with this title might be a tad less than PC, could contain some Cro-Magnon posts and should be viewed with that context in mind. Or worse, chide someone for forgetting that. Apparently PC sensitivity outweighs (what used to be) common sense.

Somehow I believe this site would survive without your donation, so why not compensate us thread regulars instead? We all deserve combat pay for enduring your nonsense. But unfortunately it makes perfect sense, your habit of paying to be abused.

I lost my father to Cancer. I hate cancer. I celebrate when people defeat cancer even if I don't know them.

I was not offended at all by the cancer joke. I understood the context.

I AM a cancer survivor. I don't think anyone on this planet needs to start an argument one way or the other in a thread like this. This is the Jets Suck thread. Make a thread devoted to cancer and have at it. I have a ton of first hand knowledge, both physical and psychological to offer.
