This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

I'm in a football pool that pays off 3 prizes each week for low score. I have the Jete twice in 17 weeks and that's about as close to a zero score as you can get. It's too bad that there wasn't a way for teams to lose points or the Jete could come in with a negative number. They suck that much.
You only have them twice?

Why not 16 times?

I'm a bit concerned they might be too good...

..at sucking. Usually they hit that perfect spot of suckage where they're not even at risk for making the playoffs, but also don't get a top draft pick. This year they might be so good at being bad they are in contention for the #1 overall pick.

But this isn't the NBA; a top pick ensures nothing. The Jete are tanking because they have no other choice from being terribly mismanaged for years. They have no coherent plan to build a winner and nothing will change with the same ownership/front office/coaching staff in place.
From a League point of view, my problem wouldn't it be with it succeeding in this one instance, my problem would be that it makes the 16 games on their schedule unwatchable trash.* If a large percentage of teams make the decision to deliberately tank the season, it'd make the product less appealing.

*Disclaimer: More than usual Jets' games.

This year's Jets team is going to make the league consider sanctions against tanking somehow. It's so blatant.
At a high level, it's just the same thing they've been doing for the last 50 years, no?

How do you tell the difference between intentionally sucking and un-intentionally sucking?

It's all just sucking, and as we all know, The Jets Suck!

... which they will screw up, because they're the JETE!

Calm down, don't worry, JETE suckage is a universal law.

It's like gravity, it's never going to go away.

I know the Jets Suck, but they used to suck at sucking. They may actually now be really good at sucking...and to be honest, that sucks (but only if they get someone competent in the front office)

It's more likely that the Sun will go super-nova tomorrow than the Jets will ever have a competent front office.

Why would that concern you? They suck at drafting too.

Is the NFL concerned that the Jete have disrupted parity at sucking?

Heard on ESPN NY radio today: "After listening to the Adam Schefter interview with Sam Darnold, if the Jet's have the #1 pick in the draft for the next 5 years, Sam Darnold is going to have a Ph. D."

That IS great!

The little I've heard about Josh Rosen and Josh Allen makes me think that they are fine young men who would take the same attitude.

Yeah. They meet in one of these:

OK this is one of those jokes which should have received more laugh ratings. imo

So either my humor is skewed, which is entirely possible, or nobody got the "tanked" reference. A green tank at that. A good ole one star rated tanking attempt with a tiny barrel.

And there's more. The reference is actually quite brilliant. The M-4 Sherman tank (a.k.a Hell on Wheels), was a death trap. Once hit it became a huge dumpster fire. hahaha

I also believe it was decommissioned 50 years ago.
