This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

One is a complement and the other is not.

In what ****ed up world is being a troll a "complement" as you spell it? How many times does it have to be said to you.....YOU ARE NOT WANTED HERE. And this has cemented it. You relish in trolling which is a ****ty thing to admit. Most people love to put accomplishments on their resumes of things they are proud of. You would put "I trolled a fan message board of a sports team I'm not a fan of." How whacked is that???

As a secular Jew myself, I pose the following. What is more full of misery and hardship: the 40 years wandering through the desert or the 40 years since Super Bowl III?

Well I'm not Jewish or a Jet fan so I can't begin to comprehend the misery. Fortunately the wandering has ended for Jews.......and the Jets didn't exist then. I can't imagine the horror of wandering in the desert and at the same time being a Jet fan....but it is written that God will not give us more than we can handle so it makes sense that that the Jets didn't exist then.

These are good questions for @Patjew

i still to this day don't understand the appeal of going to another teams forum. Nobody likes you.
Nobody likes your team.
GTFO

Not a good idea. Our first contact with an intelligent, alien life form can not be from a Jete. We'd be the laughing stock of the galaxy.

Still better than meeting Donny first.

Had to look up what a prog snob is and this is what I found.

(Sorry Tune. Not meaning to derail but just thought it was too laugh worthy to pass up)

What are the essential bands/aspects of a "prog-snob"? • r/progmetal

Adding...

- call drummer "percussionist"
- argue whether a song is in 9/8 or 3/4 with syncopation b/c you heard a percussionist say it, even though you personally don't understand time signatures
- refuse to consider non-prog drummers musicians, even though the drummer from Def Leppard's only got 1 arm

Brothers Bulger was ok.
If you want to take the moral high horse position on show watching and be prejudicial of all-things-NJ then our discussion has concluded.
Nope, not moralizing. I've seen my share of gangster stuff for the same reason every else does: it's exciting. However it does help to keep some context: we're seeing a glorification of what is a despicable life style. No matter how gory the shows/movies are, it seems that isn't the takeaway we end up with. Same is true for lots of other genres too.

Spent some time in NJ and other than NJ Proghouse (something to look up if you're into prog) the word I'd use to describe my experiences was: "meh". Was willing for it to better, if that helps. I hear the Jersey shore is nice, but no reason for me to head there when Maine, Cape Cod, and RI are closer.

All this talk about teams "that have never won a Super Bowl", I'll repost this:

Some teams that have never won an NFL Championship
  • New York Jets
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Cleveland Browns
Some teams that have
  • Akron Pros
  • Frankford Yellow Jackets
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • Cleveland Bulldogs

+1 for effort. Wiki's write up on prog (Progressive rock - Wikipedia ) actually is quite good, and in reading it, it's not hard to see how others get the impression that prog is pretentious. That's ok, we belittle people who don't get prog right back!

One thing that gets a good rise out of younger people is me telling them that we found ways to dance to that stuff when we were in high school! Hint: there was a lot of weed around back then...

Hey, we have a **** head who likes getting kicked in the nuts and says he understands the purpose of this thread but keeps writing posts trying to elevate some aspects of the Jete above the absolute Green Slime that is all things Jete. If he can post that OT crap, you're fine.

Agreed. No need to apologize T.

I had dinner with Bill Lee a few years ago. He was awesome. That dude loves tequila.

Edit: something something Jets stink.

Well the fantasy community agrees with this thread this year...

Agreed. No need to apologize T.
And here's your reward for being so magnanimous:

Agreed. No need to apologize T.
You need to apologize -- to everyone, early and often. Then disappear, so you won't create the need to make more apologies.
