Jets are "discussing" signing free agent Adalius Thomas

Well, it has been well established on this board that Belichick isn't a good enough coach to put Thomas in his best situation to succeed. So I guess they would have a point. Only Rex Ryan is smart enough to figure that out.

No see it all makes sense.
BB uses Thomas to rush the passer.
BB feels Thomas is doing poorly.
BB takes Thomas out of the role.
Thomas quits on the team.

We end up with:

BBs assessment of Thomas is totally irrelevant, it doesnt even matter.
Thomas must have been good because he had 5 sacks the year before and WAS LEADING THE TEAM when he was injured.
BB is responsible for NOISE that means that the way Thomas played and what his skills have become irrelevant.

So recapping, 2009 doesnt matter, BBs opinion is crap, Thomas is a stud and BB is a moron for not making him play better.

See, it all makes sense.

Re: Jets are "discussing" signing free agent Adalius Thomas.

However, given the ridiculously crappy job Belichick did last year, I'm not going to jump up and down defending his actions during that season. It's really that simple. .

Yes, he should be flogged for only winning his division. Hell there were 7 teams in the NFL that had better records.
Your right, Belichick is RIDICULOUSLY CRAPPY, you would do a better job than him.

By the way, no one is saying anything about defending his actions, the quesiton is whether he or you are a better judge of Adalius Thomas' pass rushing skills.
I agree its probably close, Belichick has only been coaching defense in the NFL 30 years, only has 5 SB rings, only coached Thomas for 3 years, and hell, you probably have a big screen TV you watch games on and sometimes you rewind and watch the plays twice.
