That's excellent and potentially life-saving advice.

When I lived in New England, I used to love grilling steaks on the patio on cold, snowy nights.

Outside for 10 or 15 minutes, all bundled up? Nothing like a nice Manhattan or neat Bourbon to warm your toes as you enjoy the marvels of gas cooking and appreciate the beauty of the woods in Boston's ex-urbs. You get that nice warm flush described above before you go back inside.

Any longer? Not a good idea.
To each his own. I GUARANTEE my method works for me. With the rest of the methods I laid out. If a few nips of brandy an hour is dangerous for someone else please be careful.

I could care less about disagree or rankings but you’re telling me that brandy doesn’t warm my insides on a cold day? Because that’s exactly what I said.
Uh, can we revisit this after I've had a couple Brandys?

It's cold out there, getting ready to walk the dog...

My point pertains to drinking outdoors in sub-freezing temps at football games and no, drinking brandy does NOT warm your insides -- ever. It does exactly the opposite: It causes warmth-giving blood to LEAVE your insides and move to your skin and extremities where body heat dissipates more quickly making your core temperature drop. What you refer to is an illusion.

Seriously, thanks for the info, of course you're right.

I wonder what if anything ownership/management would do in a cautionary/informational way to help fans inexperienced with extreme cold like this weekend

You've got to be kidding. They're certainly not about to discourage beer sales.

I went to the Pats vs Titans Divisional playoff game in the 2003 season. I think it was 3 degrees. Before I would get back to my seats the beer I bought was freezing into ice.
The Wind Chill must have been 0 -5 degrees.

I was there, too. The guys I went with wouldn't leave the club, lol. One other guy and I spent the whole game out there, screaming and freezing our ***e$ off. Some kid was running up and down with a short on.

Lets put it to the test. You’re a st holder correct? Anyone in your group not going Sunday? I’ll train up from NYC and tip a few back. Promise my method (including my dress I detailed) will have me toasty all game.
