yes but if they are looking to fill the "power back" role he isn't it.DLew was smaller.
Gotcha.yes but if they are looking to fill the "power back" role he isn't it.
I was talking about a full blown ACL. Anybody that watched that play and didn’t think he was done for the year was practicing some very wishful thinking.A sprain is a ligament tear
I think the kid can run the ball. Hes smallish for the "big back" role but if they need him to run a few times to keep Sony, Burk and White fresh what the hell. One thing I like about Webb is that in 4 years of college he never missed a game. Not one. Vandy played 49 games, he played 49 games. In the SEC.
Past performance is no guarantee, and all that, but he was as durable as you can get in college.
I will admit that I was engaged in wishful thinking. I was waiting for official notice as opposed to material that gets posted on the internet.I was talking about a full blown ACL. Anybody that watched that play and didn’t think he was done for the year was practicing some very wishful thinking.
He could have been our primary early down back. I liked him in that role better than Burkhead.
A month ago he was on the roster bubble. He has four decent carries and a tipped punt (which should've been blocked) and suddenly the sky is falling when he gets hurt.
Not tall, but not small. though 5'10", he's a pretty stout and powerful 200 pounds. 200 pounds is not small at all. Jets have a rookie RB that is 5'11", but only 180 pounds.I like him but hes too small.
Gronk's first fumble in 6 years.I'm blaming you Gronk! Hold on to the ****ing ball! And before people say Gronk never fumbles. That's not true. He's just been lucky it was incomplete or a teammate recovered the ball.
He's not 5'10". I don't care what he's listed as.Not tall, but not small. though 5'10", he's a pretty stout and powerful 200 pounds. 200 pounds is not small at all. Jets have a rookie RB that is 5'11", but only 180 pounds.
Gronk's first fumble in 6 years.
I've seen Gronk get the ball slapped out of his hands a few times resulting in incompletions or fumbles that were recovered by his teammates. I believe that stat is referring to fumbles lost. So I go back to what I've said before. Hold on to the ****ing ball Gronk!Gronk's first fumble in 6 years.
???
The Patriots use the Blount/Hill type backs as the primary early down RBs.
They use the White/Faulk/Vereen type backs as the third down a/k/a receiving backs
Then they try to have a RB who's a transition type of back, capable of a bit of both, like Woodhead, Lewis, and Burkhead.
So Hill was on the bubble in the sense that he was battling Gillislee for the second early down back spot, which was obviously going to be important this season, given the realities of having Sony Michel (rookie, knee issues) as the other early down back. There's nobody coming from STs to help out in a pinch this year. That option's now in Miami.
