Baltimore has to win on Sunday to even make the Playoffs, is he signs with the Pats, he is already in the second round, and will guarantee (almost) that he will play Pittsburgh.

3 FG = 9 points. OOPS....

well, he can defend the run and rush the passer.

Imagine harrison getting 3 sacks in the AFCCG against the steelers to send the pats to the super bowl? that would be amazing

Imagine Harrison having 3 snaps left in his career

That's not the question before the house.

IMHO, the question, presuming that he wants to play, is whether Harrison is more valuable on the 53 than Grissom.
And the answer is no

Waiver claim might be best. If he clears waivers it's his option, he could refuse to sign with Pats, period end of story. Waiver claim he has no option, short of leaving the league.

If he doesn't want to play for the Pats, it would be wasted effort to claim him.

Nobody claimed him. He is now a FA.

Harris is too slow to get on the field, so I doubt Harrison would be much different

Could probably measure both their 40 times these days with a sundial.

OTOH, Harrison led the Steelers in sacks last season, and was 6th in tackles as a rotational OLB (3rd most LB snaps behind Shazier and Dupree).

Harris, as ILB/MLB needs to be able to go sideline-to-sideline and drop into coverage fairly often. Harrison, as an OLB, probably wouldn't be doing as much of that. If he can play edge contain better than the guys who've been in there lately ... ?

Silverback is coming...he'll be here by tomorrow night.

Well that NE's coach Billy Football certainly knows how to use players in diminished roles. We will see how it goes.

I'm wondering if he would even have the time to pick up the defense. I think that Pats pass on him just because it's so late in the season and they don't have time to teach him a complex defensive scheme they've been expanding all season.
