Thanks for letting me know about this. Did not know that was happening. Makes me even happier we got him.

Agree. Plus, it raises the question about why the coaching staff let a long time star go just as they enter the playoffs. Doesn't really speak to the kind of loyalty a player of his contributions deserves, unless....unless...there is some tension/jealousy about how much the youngsters are under his wing. Insecurity among the defensive coaching staff in Pittsburgh? There may not be any evidence of this, but there's no reason we can't start the rumor. Who here is on Twitter?

No problem. Villanueva gave alot of credit to Harrison, as well. Teaching the o-line, as well the young guys on D. That type of leadership can't be over stated. Maybe he can help a bit with our o-line.

In doing a little reading, beyond it being a schematic reason for why they cut him but also he was *****ing about playing time.

However Roeth said he never heard Harrison utter a word about that.

Roethisberger is still trying to figure out why the refs called a timeout...nothing that comes out of his mouth has any validity. Lol

This is what the rational ones are saying on Steelerfury.

They say it's not like Harrison sucked last year or sucked when he played this year. He was a productive pass rusher and was ok vs the run. They aren't buying the reason for his lack of playing time was only because he couldn't drop into coverage and there was something else going on.

I've heard the same from Steeler fans I know. They think he still has plenty in the tank and are pissed about him being let go, let alone going to the Pats.

This is feeling like the **** LeBeau situation, where there were rumors about a major falling out between him and Tomlin. That might be what happened here with Harrison.

Prilosec sales in Western PA have gone through the roof ....... I trolled a few friends in Pittsburgh area by sending them the photoshopped picture of Harrison in a Pats uniform with a thank you note for the holiday gift.....
They didn't think it was funny.. Who would have thought it???

Just an analogy. And I'm curious what you guys think?. :

So he's 39.
But he's rested, uninjured (I assume).

Our guys are a little battle weary and sore.
If he is healthy and passes the physical, a strong, fresh, monster could be a very good thing.

39 is the new 29...

I mean we signed Steven Jackson when he was 32 a couple years ago as a late season pickup.

That’s about 39 in LB years right?

That's it?! No TD's? lol

No, to tds personally but all his turnovers will quickly be converted to touchdowns. Lol

We’re living in great days bro. The misery inflicted on the steeler fans make it worth whatever his pay is even if he never sees the field but he will

Are there people who wouldn't? Welker was one of the least clutch players ever. Not only did he lead the league several times in drops, he was one of the most prolific third down pass droppers in the league. I will never forgive him for that SuperBowl. Gagging to that joke of a team a second time might have been even more frustrating than the first time.

I was about to jump thru my tv and kick his ass during the 2012 AFCCG

It's just a bunch of crayon markups and doodles of Tomlin drawing himself with a Super Bowl trophy and a cape while flying to the sun.

Probably on page 8 there's a scribbled note to "Gotta covr Gronk (Check wat # he is)" or something similar.

Best-case scenario, this signing will be like Andre Carter or Mark Anderson. Steelers fans have been saying he can't cover or run. But BB finds a role for a guy and won't ask him to do what he can't. So as a situational pass rusher, he'll fit right in.

If this one works out like that one it’s a waste of time.
