Yeah with a healthy Edelman and Mitchell, I'd definitely agree. If those two are healthy though, Dorsett is probably sent packing.
I haven't given up on Dorsett yet, he's still young. I hate to say it but Edelman might not be around much longer. Coming back at his age the way he plays from that injury will be tough. Amendola probably has two more seasons in him, Hogan another three or so. Seems like 34 is the age where WRs max out.

IDK. Considering the age of Amendola and Edelman - and even Hogan (turning 30) - keeping a young, athletic WR with experience in the system (and possible upside) doesn't seem like an awful idea, even if it means keeping six WRs (not counting Slater).

And, then there's the possibility that the Pats may lose 2 of their 3 receiving backs in FA, and the fact that they have only the one TE who can actually catch the ball consistently.

I guess I'm not really ready to cast off any current pass-catchers (not even Britt) until I see that the Pats have acquired superior replacements.

That's why I'm hoping the Pats draft Braxton Berrios and develop him. Check out some YouTube videos.
