It doesn’t matter to me that much. But when it affects their availability…it pisses me off.

Also, there are some things that I just can’t tolerate like Vick killing dogs, Hernandez being a gangsta, Carruth calling in a hit man, and etc….. I mean I love the Patriots and am willing to overlook a lot….I mean we must have an ***hole or two on the roster…fine…doesn’t affect me on Sundays, but reprehensible people…different story. As for AB, I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt and thought Kraft reacted too quickly…. but later on it became evident to me (via subsequent events) that AB would have F’ed up down the road much like Josh Gordon did towards the end of the season.

IOW, off the field doesn’t bother me unless the player is morally repugnant….
how about just plain repugnant...like Max Lane and Todd Rucci?

AB should Not have been released from here when he was, not even close.

That act of cowardice by Ben Dover cost us a first-round bye, Minimum.
Threatening kids. Class act.

So what did they do?

If you’re only referring to those texts she took a screenshot of, that’s not it.
They terrorized her for months. Then they sent those texts of her kids.

How the hell are you people cool with that?

They terrorized her for months.
I searched around and haven't found anything that said they "terrorized her months". Feel free to post a link of that.
Then they sent those texts of her kids.
The text was from AB - not his friends. The picture (from her public social media account) was to show his friends she's a broke single Mom. He asked them to dig up dirt on her to help his case. Why he asked his friends to do this and not his Lawyers was just another dumb thing AB did.

I never said I was.

He never threatened kids.

It says it right there, it goes in the same case as the gun
It says it may go in the same case as the gun. I don't know whether that's an important distinction in you guys' disagreement.

They weren't. It's been specifically reported that the case was UNlocked.

What might that mean regarding the possibility of accidental discharge given that one of the guns was loaded?

The text was of his friends highlighting her kids, it was a text sent from them to him that he forwarded to her. He and his friends did a lot of stuff to her in the moths preceding this.

It's why she involved the police.

The woman did not go after him for money, did not do anything to him, until he brought her kids into it while he was with the Patriots.

I dont think so

Thanks for the response. To me it’s the same as would I watch a movie if one of the actors is a scumbag.

Because it isn't as fun to root for terrible bad/human beings.
Would you not go to a movie if one of the actors was a scumbag? I’m not rooting for 53 individuals I am rooting for the team. For the same reason, an ex-patriot is just like any other player in any other team to me.

You didn't provide any links saying this.

Regardless, getting back to the original question - why would you still want Jack Jones on the team when he actually was arrested/has a record and facing serious jail time?

But I'll make this clear - I don't care for AB and he burned his bridge with too many people which is why no team should want him in their locker room. And I don't think anything should happen to Jones until he goes through the legal process. However, I don't think Bill wants to keep him from their prior situation from last season.

And I'll add this: I didn't want the team to sign him in the first place... But: once they did, and we saw in Miami what the possibilities were, then ownership should've called the league's bluff regarding any disciplinary action; and even if he were given a half-season suspension, he would've returned from it in time for the POs.

I'm not going to do a search. Sorry.

The answer to your question is obvious. Brown threatened children. Jones tried to bring guns through security.

I have no idea. I just know that my reading of the regs is that the case A) must be in checked luggage and B) it must be locked.

I dunno. Sometimes those people get really long sentences and then get a presidential pardon.
Sticking to guns, there are plenty of people who've been pardoned after going to jail for crimes committed with guns. Too many in fact.

what other crimes were committed this week that the sports media should have carried instead?
I have no idea because the sports media isn't covering them.

All kidding aside, and without going down a slippery slope, I still don't see this violation as anything serious unless you think he was intending to kill the pilots and take over the plane. I'm sure that he wasn't.

The laws don't have an intent component.
